Q: I bought this hair dyer last fall and now it does not work. It will not allow me to retrack and makes a funny noice when I shake it. I expected it to last longer and am disappointed.

A: I’ve bought this dryer 3 times. Each time the cord unfortunately stops retracting before the dryer stops working. The dryer itself is a good dryer. I wish the cord itself would last longer.

A: standard dryers are designed to operate at 110 to 125 volts AC. this appliance has a polarized plug ( one blade is wider than the other ). as a safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one wat. if the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug.

Useless Hair dryer
I would give this product a -4 review if it would allow me too. This is the second one I purchased in a year, I thought maybe the first one was a fluke so I purchased another one, both dryers worked fine turned it on the next day to use it and it won’t power up, this last one I took back to Target for a refund and was told no that it was out of the warranty to bring it back, I will admit it was out by 7 days. Needless to say to say I will not purchase another one & it will make me think twice about shopping at Target again.

Buyer beware
I bought this as a replacement for the same product, which I used for years with no problems. Reviews said that this version was not as good as the previous one, and I sure do wish I'd paid attention to them! It's only been 7 mos but the powercord is glitchy and I don't feel safe using it anymore. I have short hair that I often let air dry, and only use the blowdryer once or twice each week for a short time so there's no way this should have worn out so quickly. I was using it exactly the same way as the previous dryer. But this is another example of how it's impossible to find a decent quality item at a decent price anymore.

I love this blow dyer! The main reason I originally picked it was because it had a cord keeper. I can never go back to one I have to wrap around my dyer to put away. It works great and fast. I love the button to do the cold blast. Will and have bought the same one again.

Very disappointed, only lasted a year and a half
I had this hair dryer for years and it finally gave out. I was glad to see it was still available. However, after a year and a half of use my new hair dry now has a burning smell and gets very hot while in use. I'm disappointed as my first one lasted so long. I guess Conair's quality is not what it used to be and I will be looking into a new hair dryer from a different company.
