A: They have updated them! I thought the same thing when I saw it but they replaced to top fin so it has a squishy rubbery tip now instead of being a solid plastic death spike

Absolutr waste of money
We used it one time and now there is water in the toy and unusable. We’ve changed the batteries and tried drying it out. The first time in the water it worked great. I dried it off and put it on the rack and it hasn’t worked since.

The shark singing baby shark.. what a great idea but it is SUPER LOW! I read through the other reviews and don't plan on using it in water. My toddler loves baby shark so figured she could hear the song on replay but it seems you have to press and hold a button on the shark a certain way and if you let go the song stops. It sucks all around and thinking about returning this trash

Very unsafe!! The batteries acid leak in to the tub water!! I saw brown around the batteries area and was shocked to see the batteries condition! Very unsafe! There’s no proper seal to avoid water to get in! This product needs to be recall! We used it less than 2 weeks! If you have one stop using it immediately!

Baby Shark Bath Toy
Only dislike I have is we put this in a salt water pool and the paint started to rub off. I understand it says bath toy, so the paint they used might not be able to withstand a chlorine or salt water pool. Other than that the toy is a hit with my 2 year old & 10 month old.

Baby shark started singing non-stop in the middle of the night. It was not in water. Battery compartment is not properly sealed so water gets into the battery compartment. Amazed by all the 5 stars when this is such a dangerous toy for bath time.

Not safe! Buyer Beware!
The toy is operated by batteries. Batteries in a bath toy is no bueno. Batteries should not be submerged in water. The protector isn’t good enough to ensure the batteries won’t get wet. This toy isn’t safe at all.

I would NOT buy this toy again
I bought this toy a month or so ago and my son loved it. BUT when I opened the toy up I was horrified to see that the batteries were leaking. This could have been so bad for my baby, there was no rubber ring or water proofing of ANY kind. This toy should not be sold and do not buy it.
