Rowenta Outdoor Extreme Fan Oscillating Portable and Weather Resistant Black: Pedestal, Indoor/Outdoor, Remote, 3 Speeds

Works well but the fan will not stay in a downward position. After running it the fan tilts upwards blowing the air up. Very annoying

Love the fan but my question is can this fan be used indoors as well?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While advertised as an outdoor fan, I use this fan indoors when I'm exercising in my home gym. It's very effective at moving air while still being relatively quiet which is great. There's an odd feature to go into a "quieter" mode of some sort, but I can't tell the difference when using it, and it's already pretty quiet as it is, so I don't really care much for the feature either way.

So rather than spending hundreds on a mini split I decided to just try this fan to help circulate fresh air in my garage and it worked great! It’s a quiet and powerful fan! Problem solved!

We set up this outdoor floor fan by the outdoor dining table and it is just perfect. During these wetter spring days, the airflow is perfect to keep bugs away. As it gets hotter and hotter out, we will be using this on a daily basis. It's sturdy and strong and we love the look!

Only issue I have is sometimes the wind is too strong on our back porch and it falls over. I need to remember to move it closer to the house so that the wind does not get to it.

But the assembly was a bit of a pain, instructions were not easy to understand. If you are a handy person shouldn’t be a huge issue. Truly like a wind turbine, very cool looking and quiet and also beautiful enough to be used inside and out!

After a few minutes, the fan reverts to upwards position. Convenient to use with the remote. Wish oscillating was a controllable function on the remote. Easy to roll around with wheeled base. Also wish height was adjustable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am using this fan on my patio and it's been great. I live in Florida and it gets really hot and this makes a really nice strong breeze. It's really strong but at the same time very quiet. We can all be on the patio chatting and it's not annoying or loud and it's strong enough everyone can feel it. Having a remote is an added bonus. It has lots of options if you want them. The base is also very heavy so this won't blow over in a heavy thunderstorm. This fan is really nice.

Since it can get to 110 where I live, I needed a diy addition to my backyard oasis. This has really helped turn my patio into the oasis I wanted. It is very strong, and works well to cool the area off. It also keeps flies away somehow, maybe just the power of the wind itself. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are beyond ecstatic to kick off summer with our new Rowenta Outdoor Fan! We live in an extremely hot climate, it was time to retire our old fan and this one has it all....easily blowing the old one away! The fan has multiple settings which can be adjusted via remote or directly on the unit itself. It offers 3 levels of airflow plus the choices of continuous flow, natural which is my favorite as it creates a really cool ebb and flow breeze effect and a timer setting with 4 time settings. Additionally the head can be adjusted up and down as well as being set to oscillate or remain stationary. The wheels make it super simple to relocate and position plus the cord is heavy duty and a great length. Assembly was a breeze with straightforward directions, the included remote battery and it was ready to go in less than 15 minutes. Rowenta's outdoor fan definitely has it all and we are looking forward to a much cooler summer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this fan to put in my wood shop / garage shop as Texas summers get VERY hot, and there’s little air movement in there. I am pleasantly surprised at how much air this fan moves for the noise level. It’s not silent (none are) but it’s definitely quieter than other fans I’ve had that moved similar air. Fan is very well constructed and feels like it will last many years. The integrated handle is great, as I move this fan between the shop and our back patio in the evenings. We control the speeds with the remote as it cools down at night and we need less airflow. On the lowest setting (I believe it has 5) - it is near silent, but still circulates air nicely. Great fan - I just need to get another one now :)

Upon arrival and assembly (which is easy despite the terrible directions) I was less mildly disappointed in the performance. Moves very little air for the money. The stand and features gave it 3 stars, but the actual function of the fan would have only been 1 star.

Oscillates so everyone can cool of together. Features 3 different settings so the warmer it gets the higher it can be set. Comes with remote so You don’t even have to get up to change the setting. Another great feature is is had rolling casters, so it can be moved easily. Very happy with this fan, it was extremely easy to put together too.

It comes a remote so no need to get up to change the settings. It comes with an outdoor plug so it’s more durable. I don’t freak out if I accidentally leave it outside. It’s meant to withstand normal weather. I would still bring it in at night just to keep it from getting any kind of damage but if let out one night it’ll be just fine. Very pleased. Now I can sit on my patio with my fan and feel comfortable.

The air near the fan isn’t too breezy and it feels just right from a good distance away. Assembling the fan out of the box is super easy. The base is very well made and the weight makes it feel like a heavy duty and durable product. The remote is intuitive and has a convenient storage location on the back of the support post. We have it on the back porch and it’s made the early Texas spring heat comfortable. What I don’t like is how puny the casters are compared to the quality of the rest of the product. Some investment on these casters would be appreciated.
