Q: I recognize that this is not an "outdoor" TV. When I use it, what would you estimate the lifespan to be? And, how would this react to partial sun for viewing?

  • A: Yeah, don't do it. I bought a Samsung QLED for fully covered outdoor use (protected by weatherproof cover when not in use) for football season last year. It lasted 3 Saturdays. Plus, since it was outdoors, Samsung said the warranty coverage was void.

    Streaming channels not easy to use

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Picture quality is good when viewed straight on. Not so much if you are sitting away at an angle to the screen. Sound projection could be better too. Main complaint: It's easier to mirror streaming channels from your phone then trying to navigate them using the remote, especially channels like Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ etc. A real pain and time waster. We purchased this tv with the understanding that watching syreaming channels would be simple but unfortunately that's not the case.

    Go for mini led.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kind of diissappoontent in this tv. Considering mini leds came.out about 6 months later and this being the top tier qled at the time. The backlight is horrendous. Can be seen at every corner. Had to turn down the brightness so much to get rid of the noticeable backlight in dark room. Would purchase mini led over this. Price point at this time is similar also. And only 7 months after owning.

    Mistaken purchase

    I HATE the remote control; it is much too small and the volume "wheel" is ridiculous. I tried to return the TV but was beyond the return date. Picture quality fine; format not acceptable, in my opinion, on home screen - too cluttered. Unfortunate purchase on my part.

    Good Purchase!

    The television has a good picture, but is not as bright as I thought tit would be. Additionally, I would like to make YouTubeTV my startup page and have yet to figure out how to make that happen. Overall, I am pleased with the TV as it is in our bedroom and not our primary for viewing. As a side note our primary TV is a 65 inch Samsung.

    Losing quality control.

    I have a 40" and a 43" and both developed dark (brownish) lines one tv running horizontal and the 43" running vertical. Have 7 Samsung tv's from 85 to 40". Something is wrong with the newer Samsung tv's .

    Great TV, need easier to use remote

    The remote has slow response to resuming the volume for the TV. I also have no use of the HDMI, (I have some thing hooked up but cannot figure out how to bring it up on the TV.

    Great 4K TV.

    My Q8F 4K tv has a great picture. Very clear, bright and very responsive. The built-in Samsung tv channels are very nice feature. Overall it's a great tv.
