Q: Does the outer film contain any plastic products or byproducts?

A: Our Laundry Packs pouches are made from virgin #2 high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic. These can be recycled along with other plastic films. Most grocery stores will have a bin for recycling plastic bags and our plastic pouches can be added to that. We recently make the pouches recyclable, which was an improvement we were very excited about. Previously, the pouches were made with layers of multiple types of plastic that cannot be recycled together. However, we know our work is not done yet. We are working on ways to eliminate the use of virgin petroleum from this pouch and from all of our packaging components.

A: Our recommendation is to use the product as directed on the product label. For alternative usage outside of the standard recommendation, we suggest that you consult with a professional. Q: So these can be dropped into a front loader and clothes immediately added, right? They don't need to be dissolved before adding clothes, right?

A: Hi there- Correct, we recommend placing the pack directly into the empty washer drum- before loading in clothing/ garments (to avoid the pack getting bunched up in the clothing/ garments). The pack will fully dissolve once it is immersed in water.

Pods did not dissolve but stuck to my towels instead. No5 sure if the outer plastic will come off of the fabric.

These are not unscented! They have a horrible perfume smell on them. You can smell it as soon as you open the bag. It leaves a nasty smell on clothes that smells musty, like old baby vomit. It is way too heavily scented for even an unscented product and is much worse than the older formula. It also does not rinse out and leaves a film on clothes even after hot water rinse and 2 rinses. I can no longer use this product. The older version was better. I have bought multiples of these thinking it was the bag or something, but it's this new formula. It's way too scented and leaves a perfume scent on everything and does not rinse out. Branch Basics is a better nontoxic, unscented product and I am switching back to that.

I love this detergent and also the lavender option in this brand! It cleans well in a top load machine. It has a fresh smell and cleans well. I would definitely advise putting the pod in the bottom of the machine before adding the clothes in. I do use two for some loads that are larger. I love that you can get a small amount of them too for when you’re traveling to the beach or lake! This is a great clean option if you are looking for less chemicals.

I feel like they don't get my clothes as clean as I'd like them. I like that they don't come in a plastic tub, but it's still in plastic.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because sometime the pod doesn't dissolve all the way and it leaves a small clump of powder in the washer. My husband has never had that issue so maybe there's a trick to putting in in the washer. Other than that I would definitely recommend this product to others.

I'd like to have faith in my washing detergent that it will do its job to the best of its capabilities and leave me happy. That is what this has done. I like these packs for regular size loads and they're non fragranced for my sensitive skin boy. The down side is the package doesn't contain many loads and needing two for a large (typical) load just doesn't seem sustainable with a primo product from Seventh Gen. Otherwise, a good product wrapped in a small package!

There's no scent and even works great for my toddler's sensitive skin. While my clothes do come out clean, this doesn't do a great job with stains. I won't repurchase, but my experience is my own and do recommend these.

Thankfully it wasn't this and I was able to continue using! I use cloth diapers and this was able to clean them well. Great alternative to tide of you want something more natural.

I used to use clean mamas brand of powder detergent which i am still obsessed with to this day but for the last couple years ive been using just cheap "ALL" brand clean and clear. This 7th gen detergent was superior to what Ive been using and its even comparable to my favorite clean mama detergent! Not sure what move ill be making in regards to detergent but i definitely recommend this product if you like clean and clear detergent of any type!
