A: We would like to let you know the Shark® Air Purifier is equipped with a 3-stage HEPA filter that is designed to capture 99.98% of particles down to the 0.1–0.2 micron range, plus odors and VOCs. The cylindrical structure pulls air through the back and sides of the unit and passes it through the HEPA filter. Q: Why does this product have the Prop 65 Cancer warning label? I know its a requiremnt to disclose I just want to understand what specifically causes potential harm like the material its made of or?

A problem with delivery
I have an issue with the delivery of my online order. - 2 shark air purifiers that cover 500 sq ft. It was delivered a day earlier which is always problematic. The delivery email was sent at 10:08 PM and stated that the delivery was at 7:50 PM. I believe it was delivered at 9:50 PM when I heard noise at the front door and saw the box on the porch and a white delivery van parked in the street. I feel 9:50 pm is too late to be making a delivery and that the delivery time in the email was purposely stated as being delivered earlier As for the product I did not use it yet but I bought one earlier this year. That one works fine and I like it.

too expensive to change filters
Not happy with purchase.......of the IQ 500. Cleaned the air for about 1 week then has failed to do so afterwards. Filters are too expensive to change monthly and are not washable.

Sensor malfunctions
Had for 3 weeks when sensor suddenly stopped working (air quality always read zero). After following troubleshooting instructions, it finally seemed to work again. But two days later and it’s back to reading zero and running on high all the time. Sounds like a malfunctioning sensor is a common issue with this model.

Worked great when it worked. I've purchased 2 of these because I love my Shark vacuum and thought maybe they could make a great air purifier. My first one died at 3 months my second at 6.

Helped clean up our air in no time!
After an unfortunate microwave mishap- our house and especially our kitchen smelled of smoke. We tried all the other tricks to try and get rid of it, but it wasn’t until we purchased this air filter that we found a lasting result. The different modes and levels are very helpful. On max noise is similar to that of an over oven vent fan, one it’s lowest it’s barely noticeable. It does a good job of sensing air quality- I’ve noticed it kick on when we cook. Set up was super simple and I love that it can be moved from room to room as needed.

Got rid of chemical smell after an hour running the Shark Air purifier
This is great! We had some construction done in the master bathroom and my bedroom was smelling really strong, like construction glue or something, not sure what they used, but it was really strong. After running the Shark for about an hour, the smell was gone! I can sleep tonight without worrying about the chemical smell lingering around. I also have a smart bed that tells me the room air purity. I will post before and after screenshots of the status on m bed. It was after running the Shark for about 35 minutes. It was nice to see that result showed the air quality improved. It confirmed that the air purifier is doing it's job!! Great purchase!

Unbelievable!!!!
I purchased this air purifier to help with the litter box smell in our home. I have terrible sinus problems and cannot smell anything and my husband has a great smeller. Even though we have an automatic scooping litter box he could still smell the litter (not the cat urine) and he absolutely hated it. Not only did it ELIMINATE the litter box smell over night the air purifier has eliminated the dust in my house. I cannot believe it!!!

Does NOTHING
This is the worst air purifier I've ever bought soon as I plugged in and it gave me 100% reading with brand new furniture that I wasn't even able to sleep in the room because the fumes were so strong still read 100% after an hour, and the fumes were still strong Did absolutely nothing. I also sprayed some air. Febreze didn't detect it and still read 100 I also shook out a dusty broom right next to it and still 100% returning this piece of garbage.

It’s hard to say if this air purifier even works or does anything. It’s definitely not for smoke (doesn’t make any difference for non tobacco smoke so I can’t imagine it does anything for tobacco) and I know it doesn’t advertise for this or anything but it’s kind annoying that it doesn’t have a remote or anything. The light is super bright and yes, it can be dimmed and turned off but it’d be nice to have a remote. I have a Dyson and some Holmes HEPA filter purifiers too and there is definitely a noticeable difference between when those are running vs this one. I’ll be returning it.
