Q: Does this filter the smell of cigarette smoke from the air?
A: Yes! It is very sensitive to smoke and works wonderfully! You can see the monitor change as it senses what's in the air, letting you see how well it works.
submitted byStayingFit - 1 year agoA: I've been using it while I share a space with my in-laws who smoke regularly. Our bedroom has zero smoke smell, while the rest of the home smells somewhat of cigarettes. We do keep the door shut and run this air purifier constantly on auto. Hope this helps!
submitted byGoth2be453 - 1 year agoA: Great Question! Yes, the Shark HP102 effectively reduces cigarette smoke odors in small rooms thanks to its activated carbon filter and True HEPA filtration system.

Q: I want to get rid of coworkers scensy smells and odors at work that I am allergic to. will this machine do that?
A: We would like to let you know the Shark® Air Purifier is equipped with a 3-stage HEPA filter that is designed to capture 99.98% of particles down to the 0.1–0.2 micron range, plus odors and VOCs. The cylindrical structure pulls air through the back and sides of the unit and passes it through the HEPA filter. Particles such as smoke, mold, and allergens are then trapped in the HEPA filter, allowing only clean air to be passed through the top vents.
