I have proudcted jumped as most curly girls have and was excited to use this product! After first application my scalp was burning itchy and left my hair feeling rough and tangled. I need more leave in which then made my hair oily and itchy at the same time. Do not recommend 100%
I have bleached my natural 4c hair and it left my hair damaged and my curls life less. I was looking for products that give moisture with zero coconut in it because it dries out bleached hair more. Ever since I picked up the deep treatment masque and restoration conditioner my hair is healthier and my curls are back.
This stuff smells like play dough. I heard they had an old formula but changed it. I bought it not too long ago and every time I use it, my hair smells bad and oh my god does it dry out my hair and take all the shine away. I’m pretty sure I could use just shampoo and I’d have more softness and shine than this does. Save your money, I’m not the only one this happened to
I've been using this product for a few years, then all of a sudden my scalp started reacting to it really aggressively. I don't know if the formula was changed, but I kept using it , thinking the itchiness was caused by something else. Once I stopped using this mask my scalp stopped itching, but I noticed I now have a BALD SPOT. If you've been experiencing an itchy scalp STOP USING THIS PRODUCT. I have 3C low porosity hair. The only Shea Moisture product that doesn't make my scalp itch is the African Black Soap line.
I was about to order another tub of this and noticed the formula changed. Big yikes. I really loved this company and wanted to keep supporting it, looks like you sold out to chemical based products. It worked so well for my hair too :( it was also so shiny and silky smooth even after it was bleached numerous times. I used to mix it with an egg and leave on for half hour sometimes and I swear nothing repaired my hair better. Hopefully decide to go natural again!
The smell of this product is very nice. However as soon as I put it on my hair it immediately became hard to run my fingers through. After rinsing it out my hair felt awful! My hair is literally the texture of straw after using this.
