Our headphones are not hearing devices; however we do have customers who use them to assist with hearing, usually by pairing the headphones to their phone and accessing a hearing aid app like Petralex, Ear Spy, Ear Trumpet, or Hear You Now. These apps use the mic on the phone to pick up surrounding sound and transmit it through the headphones. A: Hello- Shokz here! We're sorry to hear this has been your experience. There is no lock code or PIN required to charge the Shokz OpenDots ONE. The issue is likely caused by dirty charging contacts, the earbuds not sitting correctly, or a need to reset the case. The metal charging contacts in the case or on the earbuds may be dirty or stuck, preventing a connection. Shokz Please use a cotton swab lightly dampened with rubbing alcohol to clean the charging pins inside the case and on the earbuds. Please ensure the small metal pins inside the case are not stuck in a depressed (sunken) position. Gently press them with a cotton swab to see if they spring back out. If the issue persists, we recommend resetting your Shokz. To reset your Shokz OpenDots ONE, place both earbuds in the charging case with the lid open and hold the back button for 15-20 seconds until the light flashes orange, indicating a factory reset. The light will then flash orange and green, signaling it is in pairing mode. If your Shokz are still not working, all Shokz come with a 2-year warranty.
