While they have an IP67 rating, which means they can withstand sweat, rain, and splashes, they are not waterproof enough for submersion in water. Shokz does however offer a different model, specifically designed for swimming, called the Shokz OpenSwim. Those headphones have an IP68 rating, making them fully waterproof and submersible. They also have built-in storage for music, as Bluetooth does not transmit well underwater. I got the mini Shokz open run pro 2 for trail running on mixed pedestrian/mountain biking trails and an ultra race. They fit comfortably and don’t bout around. The quality of the sound is good and not muffled, but they are very quiet compared to my AirPods. I did “volume boost” on the Shokz app and they are still not very loud. I do like that they have a skip button, but wish they would auto-turn off after awhile when not using.

These are so much nicer to use at the gym than regular ear buds. They aren’t popping out on certain lifts. You don’t need to take them in and out when people talk to you. The sound is great. I only wish the loop had the ability to stay tight against your head as it can easily find its way down and needs readjustment.

I was super excited about the OpenRun Pro 2. I have been using shocks products since 2019. I decided to go ahead and upgrade from the OpenRun Pro. While the increase in base was nice it seems these headphones now rely on air wave technology rather than bone conduction. A great example would be if I was in a noisy environment I can plug my ear and hear clearly what was being conducted through bone but with these new headphones I lose all sound. Also relying on an app for configuration is very annoying. I would rather they work well out of box instead of having to be fine-tuned after downloading software. I'll definitely be using my older pair more frequently.

These are my first ever bone conducting headset, and I wasn’t sure what to expect as far as sound. Besides the fact that I seem to need to have my volume up higher on my device, the sound is surprisingly good. Clear sound; sound quality not as great as over the year headphones, but that is to be expected(?). I can definitely hear what’s going on around me which is a great safety factor when wearing them outside. I do find myself turning up the device volume quite a bit higher to hear. Unlike with earbuds, both the ambient sound and sound from headset are clear. Also unlike with earbuds: no ear sweat or pressure - yay! The fit is incredible. I measured my head and was glad that I got the mini. It’s so lightweight that you don’t even feel it; stays on great during runs and workouts. Very happy with this purchase.

Great headphones! I run with them and hardly notice them. Having sunglasses on with them doesn’t bother me at all! They make hearing traffic and wildlife possible while still listening to music and podcasts! Would definitely get them again.

The band is way too small in my opinion even on the standard version. The sound quality on the headphones are okay they could definitely use some bass kick. Honestly was looking forward to getting the headphones but after using them was kind of a let down.

I owned the original for 4+years but they stopped charging properly. So I upgraded. The mini fits a little more snug. The sound is really good. They have better base. Sometimes, the vocals do not match the previous for phone calls. It could be a setting. These have more settings to change. Music & podcasts are better sounding.
