A: The rug pile is 70% soft-spun polyester which makes it pretty soft. This rug is thin by design so it's not a plush rug but the surface is quite soft.

Beautiful rug !
I first purchased this rug for our master bedroom in an 8 x 10 and loved it so much that I purchased another one to go under the dining room table. The colors are beautiful and it goes with just about anything since it has blues, greys and a light tan weave. I would suggest not using the rotating brushes on the vacuum cleaner which could slowly snap the fibers in the rug.
