A: We do not recommend replacing the oil with applesauce in our Brownie Mix. Applesauce would likely result in the batter being too wet and would prevent the brownie from setting up well during baking. That said, you can use any oil of your choice, you'll just want to keep flavor in mind. Our team tends to favor coconut oil or grapeseed oil (for a more neutral flavor).

A: I subbed the 1/2 cup oil for 1/2 cup apple sauce, and reduced the water by half . It worked fine. Probably should use a metal pan for better heat distribution, as I used glass and center undercooked
