When the machine stops due to a full water tank, you may need to elevate the unit to empty the water tank. Continuous Drainage does not require elevating the machine, provided the hose is properly set up and maintained. With continuous drainage, the water is drained automatically through a hose. I purchased this unit as a replacement for a Kenmore brand one I had for 10 years. This quality is terrible and does not compare. The hose is paper thin and while it does cool, it did not line up with my window so it is not as efficient. The remote feature is nice but overall, I think there is better out there. It is very loud too. I am returning and on the hunt for a better unit!

AC works but the unit shuts off when it reaches the desired temperature instead of keeping the fan running so it goes from pretty loud to silent but then when it turns back on it wakes you up because it’s so loud. Turns off and on all night and keeps me awake. There should be a setting where you can keep the fan on all the time and the cool only kicks on when needed.

The air conditioner is excellent. It is powerful and reasonably quiet. When set, it keeps a great temperature. The only feature I wish I could have is the ability to keep the fan running while the air conditioner is operating (in AC mode), but that is acceptable given how excellent the rest of the product is.

I purchased this for a smaller space, and after hooking it up—which was really easy—I was quite pleased. Other reviews discuss the noise. It’s no louder than a fan, in my opinion. Although it’s not particularly loud, I’m accustomed to the noise because I always have a fan running. I have to turn it off because it gets really cold. I purchased a 12,000 btu for my living room as well because I loved it so much. Overall, a fantastic product with very quick shipping.

The item arrived on schedule. There are no indications of damage and the packaging is adequate. The unit looks great. Control buttons are practical and simple to use. Every component is included. Installing it is simple. This 8000 BTU unit ought to be sufficient to provide summer cooling for a 350 square foot space. To make the noise level in a small space manageable, you can turn the fan down. It is excellent for all-around use and has both a fan-only and a dehumidifier feature. For the unit, the energy efficiency ratio of 7. 1 is comparatively good.

It hasn’t shut off all night; it cools remarkably well; it’s reasonably quiet (I always run a fan anyway, and it’s no louder than a hotel unit);. . . I’m happy I persevered.
