Q: Can the heater be put on a carpet or just a hard surface?

Q: Is this heater cool to the touch so that if a pet or child does touch it--there will be no burn.
A: Yes ur pets n or children won't get burned

However, the grille itself will get hot as the unit runs, as the heat is being projected through it. Please have this unit in a place where it is not easily accessible to young children or pets. A: No it does not. The $69 version does though.
