It was used.
Target shipped me one that was clearly used. The CO2 Cylinder’s seal was removed (top half) the bottle was dirty and some kid left their stages of a caterpillar sheet in the box. Gross!

I absolutely love this machine! I seriously use this almost everyday and can’t explain how awesome it is. Super easy to use, saves me money now that I don’t have to buy sparkling water from the store anymore. I use their canister exchange on their website and it’s so easy to return/get new carbonation bottles.

Great product, poor cartridge availability
This is a great product, but beware the availability of gas cartridge exchanges. Perhaps it is particular to Oahu, but there are currently none available in the five stores on my island, and lack of supply has been a problem throughout ownership. Be sure of local availability before you get into using this system..

Not any better that the basic model
A few years ago I owned the basic model and LOVED it! Now in a new home, I was ready to upgrade! This newer model appeared to have a button that you simply had to press, instead of push down on a spring, like the original model. I looked thoroughly for additional details about the button and watched the promo video as well. When it arrived it turned out that it has the exact same spring-button as the older model and is not in fact any simpler or easier to use, as advertised. I would've preferred to spend more on an model that was ACTUALLY superior to the basic model than waste the time and money with this one.

I’ve been using the SodaStream Terra Sparkling Water Starter Kit and I absolutely love it. It’s incredibly easy to use and turns plain water into sparkling water in seconds.
