This is amazing straight out the box, easy to use and amazing build quality. Sound with ULT mode is great but not so great without. Nice feel to it and I highly recommend.

After trying Sony XG 300 and JBL Charge 5, I can say the Sony ULT FIELD 1 is the Best choice for me! The sound and bass quality is very clear and lound on the 70% of volume, now I have to test the battery life. I hope is will be excellent, because on JBL Charge 5 battery dead very quickly.. I chose speaker in white color and very happy! It's great for the jazz, instrumental music.. Thank you Target, for the great price and service!

Sony have developed an impressive little speaker that should satisfy a lot of people, especially those who want some kick and bass to their music. With the ULT button engaged, these speakers deliver an impressive amount of bass and the volume level sounds very good also. I can imagine these speakers would sound super loud with them at 100%. You can customise their EQ, if you want some more clarity out of them. Just keep in mind that you won't be able to use the ULT button when the EQ is customised, so you'll have to crank the bass EQ all the way to the top to maintain that bass. The forest grey colour is so good with these and I really like the overall look and design on these. They have a strap on them, which is another plus, as there is less chance of you dropping them. The fact that they're water proof, shock proof and rust proof will help the longevity of these speakers a great deal. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase and Sony have done a great job. 5/5

This speaker is amazing, loud and clear and adjustable bass on the speaker and adjustable EQ in the app, better than my previous srs Sony speakers and previous boss speaker!

Excellent product. I wanted a portable speaker I could use in the small rooms of our house. This is perfect, loud enough with a good quality of sound.

I was looking for a bluetooth speaker to use at home and didn't want to spend too much money. This is perfect! I was worried about the volume not being loud enough, but the highest I turn it up is ~25% so clearly the volume is not an issue. Very good sound quality. I would recommend this to family and friends easily.

I watched YouTube that compared similar models of Sony, UBL , and Bose. I found the sound for Sony was best for me. So I bought the Sony speaker and the sound and projection were excellent. I loved this speaker and decided to get a second one for my grandson. The only comment I have is the color choices are not many. Hope Sony can come up with a few other colors.

previous sony speaker lost its sound had for near 10 years and used every day so purchased the new model and more than happy with the sound excellent as always

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this speaker for a little while now and wanted to wait before giving a knee-jerk review (which would have been a simple Wow! Just Wow!). I've now managed to use it in a variety of environments, including camping, an outside party and my flat (where it's now replaced my stereo for sound and clarity). Being dust and water resistant, as well as being a decent size for packing and portability, it was a perfect companion on my camping trip where it performed admirably both inside the tent on a lower volume, but could also be heard perfectly at a louder volume some distance from the tent (see photos). It also goes without saying that the 12 hour battery life was perfect for the trip (although would have been easy to recharge via the USB-C port on the back. I prefer to feel the bass as well as hear it so the ULT button was a perfect addition as it activates a deeper bass without losing any clarity of sound. All in all this is now my go to portable speaker - versatile enough to perform well in all environments that I've tried, a great sound and all at an incredible price - Sony, you've pulled it out the hat yet again!

For a small wireless speaker, this has great sound with a nice bass that does sound distorted when you increase the volume. Sony doesn't disappoint.

Bought to use for work and personal use and does the job perfectly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! this is a special speaker. I have about 5 different smart speakers and this is just about as good as it gets. It may be small, and fits very comfortably in the hand, but it certainly packs a punch. It is very well designed, with a cylindrical shape that has flattened, squared-off sides to prevent it from rolling off surfaces, and feels tough and sturdy enough to be taken on the most adventurous outings. Its pleasing mesh and adjustable cord handles all say “take me with you wherever you are going” You can stand it up on end, lay it down horizontally or hang it from a branch, none of these options seem to get in the way of its solid pleasing sound, and reassuringly it has a serious rubber cap over the USB charging port. Portability is at the forefront of the speaker's design, but never gets in the way of its superior sound quality and bone-shaking levels of audio immersion. It even has its own button on the speaker for its bass boosting function. This essentially works like an amplifier and EQ combined, adding extra energy to the low-end. I’m not sure what ULT stands for but if it’s ultimate then thats OK with me. After a number of hours of testing both indoors and outdoors in my garden at the end of the day, I found the ULT Field 1 sound to be great despite its size and when pressed the ULT button brings an extra layer of oomph to music and audio of many kinds. You really don't need to play it any higher than at about half the volume, especially if ULT is enabled, as the sound will fill a room with ease, and you do have to think about the neighbours after all. Even outdoors, the ULT Field 1 doesn't need to hit its fullest volume potential. Its sound is crisp, punchy, warm, and full of deep bass. Classical, jazz, rock, and even electronic music all performed well. I didn’t test battery life too scientifically but found it more that acceptable for my usage. To sum up, this is a rather special speaker with incredible sound in a lightweight, compact and sturdy form that is obviously built to last. I can easily see the ULT Field 1 becoming my go-to travel companion.

Great Sound for the price on this 2024 model. Worth more than UE Boom3 which I had battery charging issues.
