Great Wired In-ear Headphones from Sony
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was shocked to receive these wired in-ear headphones because I couldn’t remember ordering them. However I then realised that they were a product tester item. As I unpacked them I realised that I had a problem, I didn’t own any audio portable listening devices that I could test them on. That didn’t stop me checking the device for quality and how easy they are to use. Both earbuds fitted with comfortable domes. The left side lead incorporates a control bar, the earphones leads are adjustable so that you can get a good comfortable listening position. My problem that I faced was that they were USB-C and I didn’t own a device that I could use them with. I was disappointed that I couldn’t get to use them and give them a fair review. Later on I was just about to recharge my iPad and saw that they had the USB-C that I needed to test them. The following morning I had checked that they were charged so I plugged into my iPad and decided to try them with an audible book. The experience of listening to my book was beyond what I had experienced with wired in-ear headphones. The narrator voice was so clean and clear with no annoying background noise. Having had a successful experience with audiobooks I then tried out some of my favourite music to listen to, that to was exceptional. The only problem that I had was that I had to use them with a heavy iPad. But I could not fault the sound quality and the build quality of the headphones. I would not hesitate to recommend these to any of my friends they are so easy to use at such a low price. I will definitely have them in my bedside drawer so that I can listen to a few chapters of my book at bedtime.

Honestly surprised that this product deserves 5 st
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In all sincerity I’m surprised that I awarded 5 stars. I just didn’t expect such a low-cost product to deliver such quality. I’m comparing them with my Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones – a far superior product with, of course, more features– but which costs a great deal more. My experience was of clear sound, well delivered and with a good range of tone and quality. There was nothing not to like in these categories. I listened to a mixture of songs and classical music as part of my testing. There is the disadvantage of having wired headphones. There is no getting away from that: modern wireless headphones can deliver as true a signal as wired, and wired also feels a little dated. It would be unfair to criticise on this basis, however, because the wired connection is intrinsic to the nature of the product. A plus is having a USB-C connector, which is just about universal these days. It would have been disappointing to have to use an old-style headphone socket. In conclusion, these headphones deserve the highest mark I've given to any Sony product I’ve reviewed. They would be a great small gift for young and old alike.

Cheap, Simple and Good
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nothing out of the ordinary. The ear buds fitted very well and the choice of extra buds of various sizes was useful. The price point is good and they are robust for general usage These are without doubt the most comfortable in the ear phones I have used. New mobiles are using the type c connector therefore I will be recommending these phones The connection using a type c USB limits the use of the phones but I used an adaptor for using them with my PC. Not bad sound quality compared with other phones. Over the years I’ve used so many wired phones and these rate highly

Excellent value for money.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used the Sony IER-EX15c in ear headphones outside whilst walking, inside whilstcworking and whilst on public transport. Performs well in all situations. Musical clarity is excellent, deep bass tones and vibrant mid range with clean vocals and instrumentals. Extremely clear when used to take or recieve calls. Three sizes of earbuds are supplied, all easy to change or replace. Volume and call on/off easily accessed by small controller on cable. Small cable holder also supplied with package.

Good value, comfortable, balanced sound earphones
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'll start by saying a couple of things. First, I do not like using in ear headphones as I always find them uncomfortable (or so I thought). Secondly, I didn't expect much for the money. I was wrong on both counts. These are easily the most comfortable in ear headphones I've ever used. Ever. Also, although the sound quality is not going to set the world on fire, they are surprisingly balanced and clear. You are never going to get fatigue using these. I like wired headphones because Bluetooth compromises quality (at this price point that's probably not a deciding factor) and I find it a total pain in the rear to have to charge wireless ones. The headphones were simply packaged in recyclable material which is good to see. As I have an iPhone, it does not USB-C so had to use an adaptor (shown in picture). this is no big deal but worth mentioning. Overall, these are fantastic value for money and very comfortable and easy on the ear.

Great addition to my earbuds
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven't used wired earbuds for some time because I switched to wireless earbuds. Got these a couple of weeks ago and have used them regularly. They arrived in a small secure oblong cardboard package fully recyclable. They are so simple to use, they come in four colours, Pink, Blue, Black, I got white. There are also extra rubber earbuds to ensure a good fit. The connection is a usb "C" connection and so fits other appliances. Connected to my phone the sound quality is good and it's easy to alter the volume etc. using the online multi function button. There is a generous amount of cable so I used the supplied cable slider to get the length I required. This device will certainly be useful especially on holiday, good sound quality, can take phone calls and not worry about charging it up, plug in and play.

Great design idea.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First thing I noticed was the design of the earphones. The way they fit to your fingers for insertion, BRILLIANT. I hope this is kept for all earphones. Cable length and cable quality is spot on. The controls are easy to locate and use. A selection of end tips helped attain a better fit for me and helped to remove back ground noise. That was trial and error but worth the time taken to select the correct set. Sound quality for light music and speech came over well, sadly for heavy music there was no depth or bass. I now use these for business calls, sound quality for speech, fantastic. I have other earphones that I use for rock music. These earphones have there place, my music taste means they are not my go to for heavy music. When listening to audio books they are first class.

Going back to wired headphones
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has been along time since I have used wired headphone, usually use wireless headphones. The first thing I found they didn't go out of sync which was a nice change, I liked the sound quality and the ability to change the volume on the headphone was a bonus. The best little trick was the ability to change the cable length using the supplied winder great not to having a cable that can be caught on things especially when I am fishing. A simple but good headphone with good sound quality.

Handy kit for when I’m out and about!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I acquired the IER-EX15C In-ear Stereo Earphones just over a week ago and have been using it with my mobile phone while out and about. To date I have used my mobile’s ‘hands free’ option when making and receiving calls, holding it in front of my face, which not the best way to make calls, especially in busy life scenarios. Well, this handy little kit has revolutionised the way I make and receive calls, now truly hands free. Also, I use the earphones for music playback, which is nice because of the good quality audio delivery. First Impressions: The packaging is minimalistic and contains no plastic that usually ends up in the wrong places polluting our planet. The earphones and all its components look of good quality and the overall design works for me. Features: -Plug & Play: No prior setup or anything else was required for me to start using this device. I just plugged in into my mobile phone and started enjoying the benefits it brings. -Volume & Mic Remote-Control: I like the fact that the volume and microphone can be controlled through the in line ‘remote-control’ feature. Also, being able to answer calls with the same microphone button. Also, using the earphones for music playback, the handy remote-control can be used to control even the music playback controls of my mobile’s music application. I use these control features many times throughout the use of this device. I recommend reading the user manual to familiarise yourself with the different button sequences for such control. -Silicone Ear Cushions: These earphones come with three different size ear cushions made from soft silicone rubber for a personalised good in-ear fit. The earpieces fit into my ears easily and securely and using the device for long periods of time is comfortable and easy to do. - Cable Adjuster Clip and Slider: The Cable Adjuster Clip is a very handy and simple way of manually adjusting the length of the cable to my body, hide the excess cable and clip it to my clothing. There is also a cable adjuster slider to adjust the separated part of the cable closer to my neck. This keeps the loose hanging separate cables out of the way and reduces the risk of it catching unintentionally on things as I move about. -Simple Design for Effortless Operation: The design of the earphones, cable and remote-control feature positioning is well thought through, ergonomic and is perfect for my needs and use. -Sustainability in mind: I appreciate that the packaging contains no plastic or a plastic wire cable tie. All that stuff always ends up in the bin anyway, and pollutes our planet, and I always think it to be such a waste of resources. Now, anything you decide to chuck is not only recyclable but has been manufactured from recycled sources. Spot on! My Verdict: These earphones have upgraded my use of my mobile phone in making and receiving calls, and music playback. They are comfortable and work really well to suit all my needs. For the price these earphones is a must.

Handy earphones. Essential travel accessories
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had these for a few weeks now, and they are super handy as backup earphones. We forget how convenient having earphones that don’t require charging. May seem old school nowadays, but with type C connection they are super cool. There is a choice or rubber connectors for the ears. Found a perfect fit with the rubber connectors supplied fitted. Fills the ear hole, which for their price they can block out a lot of the outside sound. Definitely using these on my next long haul flight. No anxiety of battery drain. The sound quality really exceed the price band. Aldo handy for taking calls, with clear sound. Can highly recommend.

Not good for me but probably good for you
I’m not really sure how to rate these, because my experience is almost certainly not representative of most people who will buy and use them. For me, they slipped out of my ear canals constantly, no matter what ear tips I tried. I usually wear the largest size available. They work for me with my Powerbeats Pro (that have a hook to keep them secure). If you’re like me and struggled with in-ear headphones in the past, these will be the same and you should probably just get hooks, or clip-ons, or over-ears instead. I also noticed that the sound quality is pretty good (certainly for the money), but they seem to skip when playing hi-res audio on Qobuz. Obviously they’re not designed to play hi-res. But at least with Bluetooth, you don’t get this kind of skipping if you do accidentally leave the quality set to high. If you stick to CD quality or below, you’ll be fine, and they sound decent, if unspectacular. But for the price, this is fine. Most people will probably just be listening to compressed MP3 quality audio on streaming services or on YouTube. So for that, you’ll be absolutely fine. A couple of notes on build quality. They feel decent for the price, but the eartips feel flimsier than I’d like. Maybe that’s just me though. I’ve definitely felt better ones. But again, on more expensive headphones. I also noticed a couple of times that the headphones weren’t immediately recognised when I plugged the usb-c cable in to my iPad. It took a couple of attempts and 30 seconds to a minute or so to get them to appear. The connector and the port were clean of dust and I had no issue with other cables, so I don’t know what was going on there. On the whole, I’d say they’re probably worth trying. It’s maybe not as confidence inspiring an experience as I’ve had with other inexpensive Sony headphones in the past. Given we’re in the age of planned obsolescence, I don’t know how confident I am that they’ll last as previous models did. But that’s also true across the board in electronics.

No batteries to recharge.
or the past few years I’ve been very happy with my Sony WF-L900 LinkBuds but, occasionally, the bluetooth connection drops out. My current devices don’t have 2.5 or 3.5 jack inputs so wired “In Ear” headphones such as the Sony IER-EX15C that connect through a USB-C port are a great solution. These headphones produce a rich, deep bass and extremely clear vocals which is detailed and well balanced while making a phone call, listening to music or watching videos. Being wired I don’t have to worry about draining the battery as I do with my LinkBuds. These headphones produce in-line remote feature is great for toggling between functions on my connected device, whether it is my mobile, tablet or laptop. So far I haven’t experience the dreaded tangling of the lead and haven’t needed to untie any tricky knots with a fork or tooth pick. The silicone ear tips (different sizes are included) fit perfectly and comfortably (as they do with my LinkBuds) This difficulty in finding reasonably priced wired headphones which fit comfortably in the ear has always put me always put me off purchasing other brands. In conclusion I think these headphones offer great value for money without compromising sound quality. As I have an older phone I should have liked a lightning to usb C adapter to be included but the headphones work perfectly on my tablet which has a usb C connection and with my laptops.

Great USBc wired inexpensive headphones
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really simple packaging, very light weight headphones, easy to use straight out of the box. There is a small envelope that includes ear buds of differing sizes and a cable tidy, that allows you to coil up excess cable, of which there is plenty, the cable length is generous. Personally, I found the buds already fitted to the headphones were perfect, very comfortable. I selected some music and was pleased with the sound quality; the inline control is useful for Volume Control and skipping and pausing tracks. I have not yet made or received any calls while wearing them. All in all great value for money, quite inexpensive and lightweight, great for those on the move. Would recommend

Practical Wired In-Ear Headphones
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very practical with no battery charging needed for on the go use, plus no Bluetooth issues. I have a smartphone with a earphone jack so it was easy to compare using the new USB-C. The sound was of a good quality but not the wide range of frequency I would prefer. I found using the USB-C plug, the volume needed to pushed to highest point to compared to a plug in jack so not as good. Tried on a laptop Tablet and worked really well. Comfortable soft eartips in various sizes. Easy to control sound with in line control. Sound using phone was excellent with lovely clear locals and very audible. I found them a very practical solution overall and would recommend.

Value for money headphones for a wired headphone
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Sony IER-EX15C is a hardwired in ear headphones. On the whole it is a good value for money as it is more than a budget in ear headphones. It delivers a fairly good range of bass and treble. It has a volume control in the form of a thin switch on the cable which seems to work okay. ————- ** Pros ** Obviously it does not require charging so is ready whenever. It has a good bass range considering its low price. They feel okay in my ear and are light. Super value for what you get. Comes with a clip that can shorten the cable should you wish to do so. And a volume control on the cable. ** Cons ** It’s hardwired - personally I prefer in ear or over the ear. USB-C - my phone does not allow me to use USB-C but my laptop does. They are not noise cancelling headphones. Not too sure on the cable durability as like many other wired headphones I have had before they start to split but I would like to think Sony’s headphones stand a better chance. I found when I listen to a audiobook it was not as clear as I have on my on the headphones but that is me being picky. SUMMARY Overall a good value for money product that is above average in the sound area. Ideal to though for those that might prefer wired for ease. Maybe useful as a backup if your device supports USB-C

Simples - plug in and listen
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Simples - no batteries no connectivity issues. Just plug in and listen. One of the irritation of my Bluetooth headphones is the lag when watching films – not an issue when listening to music. Wired headphones solve this issue and the Sony IER-EX15C are easily pushed into a pocket to be used when needed. The packaging is straightforward and with no complicated instructions to grasp you simply plug in and listen, The sound quality was much better than I was expecting with good bass and clear vocals. The soft rubber tips are comfortable and create a good seal such that whilst not noise cancelling earphones they do block ambient sounds very effectively. There are 3 different sizes of silicon tips although I found the ones already fitted perfect for my ears. The one thing I dislike on them is the position of the in-line remote. Placed close to the left ear bud I found it less accessible as a right handed person and not intuitive to find. I imaging it is something I will get used to with more practice. So far I have found that they do not tangle as much as others I have used and the cable slider enables me to adjust the length quickly. Have used them on an hour long Zoom meeting and for listening to music I have found them comfortable to wear
