T-fal Steam Iron, Fast and Easy Ironing

I paid full price, received in box complete with all the required paperwork and noticed it had scratches near the hot plate and then noticed the water tank was wet. No this item was not a refurbish but was ordered new. I feel taken advantage of. Totally unacceptable makes me wonder how this went undetected and why was it not properly labeled as a return!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Virtuo 30 Steam Iron, by T-fal, heats up fast. It only takes 30 seconds. It is easy to figure out the buttons for the settings and how to use. It has great steam output. There is a button for a burst of steam that can be pushed repeatedly for even more steam or to steam clothes rather than ironing them. It also has a water spray feature for those stubborn wrinkles that need extra help. The iron glides across my clothing and works quite well. The cord is very short so I have to be right beside the outlet to reach across my ironing board with the iron. The biggest problem I have is that it claims to have a retractable cord, but mine barely retracts at all. It has to be manually pushed back in by hand while pressing the button. It may retract an inch or two at a time, but that is about it. Overall the iron works well for ironing and steaming, but don’t count on the retractable cord feature and know that the cord is very short. This is the first iron I have ever owned (Gen Z for ya) and it was super easy to use and I’m pleased with the results it provides. Until this point I have been the “who cares if my clothes are wrinkled” person. But the small lines from my clothes 5-day stay at the royal dryer suite are slowly driving me nuts. Although I do not own an ironing board (yet), I was still able to successfully iron my clothes, and steaming them while hanging was able to release the remaining wrinkles. The retractable cord is one of my favorite features, since I hate dealing with tangled messes and the space they take up. This easily fits in my cupboard without taking up much space at all. This also features several shut off sensors for safety precautions and with a toddler, that gives me another feeling of security and safety.
