I replaced a similar 18 yr. old 2 qt tfal for this 3 qt pan. I abused the pan, cooked on high often and boiled over a few times but it still was pretty slick, tho' the bottom had chips and began to brown (rust?). This new one is better, I like the pour spouts and hole on lid. I will treat this one better, no high heat, and won't use the nonscratch nylon pads. Tfal will wear out faster if you use high heat, as I did for yogurt in my 12 quart tfal pot. Then you eat plastic. Better sauce pans cost at least double.

I really like this pot. It is just the right size for cooking a small meal or a smaller ammount of pasta and it is easy to clean. I did not know it had a strainer on the lid for the pour spout... and measurement marks for liquid inside! Very convenient. The vent hole is great and also good for a temperature probe. So far I am really happy with the purchase... esp for the price. The one negative thing is that I tried to register it at the site and finally called T-Fal. They said the third party (target) pan could not be registered. So I will hold onto the receipt in case anything wears prematurely. that is why I took a star away. T-Fal has been a pretty good brand, they do not last forever... but I have gotten at least 5 years or more out of them... and I take good care of my pans and only use plastic, silicone, or wooden spoons/spatulas. I only use soft bristle or scrub daddy brush/sponges...

I use this pot for everything. I’ve had it for about 4 years now and nothing sticks to it. I love that I can strain water out of it through the lid, makes for less cleanup! I am purchasing another as well

First, you can't use a vegetable steamer in this pot. The cover won't close with one in it. Second, the cover falls off when tipping and straining. You will have to hold the knob on the lid to keep it on which is not acceptable if you need to hold the handle with both hands. One positive thing that I haven't found in other pots of this size is a measuring inside.

I have owned this same pan through the years and use it alot. Nothing sticks to it and cooks things great. Just some obvious tips, don't use metal utensils on it, it will scratch it. I use wood and silicone. Also, don't get it too, too hot. It's teflon. I wouldn't do super high heat cooking on it. Great pan.

Waiting too long to have a pot like this one, with pouring spouts, draining pasta, boiling water instead of running a coffee maker that provides hot water, fixing rice, oatmeal, etc, helps. Yes, I admit that these and other cooking devices make life so much easier, and as of late we needed an inexpensive Saucepan? that even though could have been awesome with 5 qt capacity, or 4 qt, it still does menial cooking tasks with ease. The price had a lot to do with buying it. 3.9 Stars.
