[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was unaware that mascara often had added gluten to help lift lashes. Since I have celiac disease, I try to avoid gluten and was so happy to find that tarte did not use gluten containing products in their makeup. It makes shopping so much easier--not having to read labels of scientific gibberish just to see if I am going to have a reaction from lipstick! This mascara works just as well as any of the gluten containing ones (and does NOT make my eyes itch so that's a mega bonus). So, thank you tarte for making makeup fun again.

It's a fair mascara, not the best I've tried, but not horrible. It doesn't hold a curl very long on my straight lashes, but it gives decent length. I still prefer some drugstore mascaras compared to this, but it does it's job well enough.

I thought it did great on lengthening, lashes were soft and fluttery, and they separated well after using an eyelash comb. I have straighter lashes and it did not hold a curl. Tried with heat, and also with a heated curler, and neither worked. That's a dealbreaker for me, but it may work for you. Hope this helps! :)

Have tried several mascaras. Clinique was my old go-to, but also tried volume-care+ by Rumi. For volume and length this was the best for me. No clumping.

It is very expensive for what it is. It's very liquidity, transfers easily , and barly holds your lashes. The wand also leaves somthing to be desired.

On my third tube now and I love it just as much every time. Makes my lashes so long and pretty and wears well all day. Doesn't flatten out/lose volume. Resistant to water, doesn't come off when my eyes water which is a huge bonus as somebody with allergies.

Adds good length and volume but it definitely clumps. Not a huge fan of the wand/applicator. Applicator collects lots of product on the end which is hard to get off before application.

I have been on the search for a mascara since my usual was discontinued. I'm so happy I found tarte Maneater. It doesn't clump and is lifts and separates.
