Description
Attract and kill the ants you see and the ones you don’t with TERRO Liquid Ant Baits. The liquid, which contains borax, is specifically designed to allow worker ants to consume the product, and survive long enough to carry the liquid back to the nest. Ants consume the liquid ant bait and return to the nest where they pass it around to the rest of the colony. The active ingredient in the bait slowly interferes with the ants’ digestive systems, ultimately killing them. Since this is a bait product, you will initially see more ants as they are attracted to the liquid – but don’t worry, this is a good thing. After the bait is consumed, insect populations will begin to decline. Complete control may take up to two weeks. For your convenience, TERRO Liquid Ant Baits are easy to use and feature a new and improved snap-off tab design – no scissors needed! To open the bait, hold the station vertically and twist the new and improved tab. Then place indoors on a flat surface near ant trails and other signs of ant activity. The more bait placements, the better. Be sure to leave the ant baits undisturbed while the ants are actively feeding on it.

A: The effectiveness of the bait does not diminish over time. As long as it is still in liquid form, it can be used to eliminate the ants. While the product does not have an expiration date, we recommend replacing it if it is over two years old.

A: More than 3 months after its open. The liquid doesn’t evaporate out of the plastic. I had an infestation in February, used two gel packs. That ended, and I placed two more in the same corner. Its June and I arrived hime from vacation, the traps were attacked.

A: This product can be used on any indoor flat surface (as long as it is kept away from food prep areas). We recommend keeping the product close to where ant activity has been noticed.

A: I noticed at some point the trap gets full with ants. The newcomers roam, rather than visit the trap. If i see a dozen roamers, I switch the trap out.

A: Yes, this is normal.
With TERRO® Liquid Ant Bait, ants are attracted to the bait, feed on it, and then carry it back to the colony to share with others—including the queen. Because of this, you may not always see a large number of ants staying inside the bait station.
It’s common to see ants gathering around the trap rather than inside it, especially in the early stages. Activity may even increase at first as more ants are drawn to the bait.
For best results:
Place the bait station along active ant trails
Avoid spraying insecticides near the bait, as this can deter ants from feeding
Allow several days for the bait to be carried back and eliminate the colony
As long as ants are active around the bait, the product is working as intended.

Doesn't really work
It will take a couple of weeks for the ants to show up and once they do, it's a swarm. The problem is it never really stops. I still see ants everyday. I'm not sure if this will make the problem worse. I have better luck just using those sprays. Don't really recommend this. The gel or whatever is inside the ant trap might pour out on your floor too so beware!

Finally got rid of those pesky ants!
I've tried several ant killers over the years, but Terro Liquid Ant Baits are on a completely different level. The pre-filled bait stations make setup super easy — no mess, no measuring, just open and place. I put them along the ant trails and within a couple of days the ants were completely gone. I love that the 6-pack gives you plenty of stations to cover multiple areas of the home at once. They work indoors perfectly and the design keeps the liquid contained so there's no spilling or dripping. Great product that actually does what it promises!

These are very effective. They are not safe around pets, wildlife and humans. Use caution when placing them in areas where they can be accessible. Also, I use a piece of paper towel under the unit to catch any spills. They product can be messy and difficult to clean up on floor, carpet, tiles. They have a twist off cap that is difficult to remove, I ended up using scissors.All in all I will continue purchasing this. (They do have other units - check them out and research what will work best for your situation)
