Q: Do you have to take the vessel off and flip it upside down to open and add more ingredients? Or can you leave it on the base and open without flipping?

A: To add ingredients, you'll need to stop the blending cycle and remove the assembled vessel and blade from the base first. How to add more ingredients to your blend: 1. Stop the blending cycle and wait for the blades to fully stop. 2. Twist the blade and vessel off the base. 3. Flip it upright, unscrew the blade, and add ingredients (don’t exceed the max fill line). 4. Reattach the blade securely, flip, and lock back onto the base to continue blending. A: You can absolutely whip up hummus in the Beast - we just recommend using one of the smaller vessels and adding a small amount of liquid (water/oil) to get started. Pulse, add more liquid if needed, and continue blending until you reach your desired texture and consistency. Been using the beast 850 plus about 3 weeks now. Primarily using for protein shakes and blended daiquiri style drinks which has become an unexpected added bonus! Super simple to use. East to clean. Doesn’t take much room up. I guess my only wish was that I bought the mega 1200. In spite of trying to limit ingredients I seem to always forget how much space frozen fruit takes up. I might purchase the travel base for taking the shakes to work. That is an added bonus of the 850. 5 stars so far👍🏼💪⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had high expectations. The vessel does not fit in car cup holder. I like to take my protein shake with me in the morning for my commute. Would have been nice to have a quick flip lid so that it makes it easier to take a sip.

A friend recommended this so I got one a couple months ago, and I love it! I’ve been making breakfast smoothies with it a few times a week, and it couldn’t be easier. Love the design, colors and even the way it feels in your hand. Haven’t branched out to salad dressings yet, but that’s next!

I had hoped to replace my vitamix, which I have been using to make smoothies for years, with the beast. Unfortunately, it isn’t a prefect substitute. I bought the middle size which doesn’t really give me enough room to put all the ingredients I use in. And while it blends nicely, I don’t enjoy using the blender as a large cup to drink from. Unless I use a straw, it doesn’t really have a nice feel. Also, I was hoping it would clean easily but the ridges do not clean very easily. It hasn’t really made making a smoothie for me any easier, I’m afraid.

This blender is definitely NOT the most powerful blender. The word mighty is misleading. The canisters are small, no matter what size you get, and the blade doesn't do a good job of blending. All of my protein shakes come out warm due to the energy/heat the blender emits, and I can still taste the powder, because this machine does not blend well. The NutriBullet is a much more sturdy/ better machine overall. This one is just aesthetically pleasing. I still cannot get over the fact that my beverage comes out warm after using it. I'm extremely disappointed.

I bought this to replace a Ninja blender. The Ninja worked incredibly well but reminded me of a blender from a 90’s infomercial. This looks pretty on the counter, but its functionality is our garbage. It doesn’t blend - the ingredients just clump together with big pockets of air. Powders get caked on the side and don’t mix in. The finished product is often a very liquidy shake with huge clumps of ingredients throughout. I’ve used the same ingredients with this blender as I’ve used with my ninja and the ease and result is infinitely better with the ninja. The beast is just a pretty piece of garbage.

This blender is mighty. I thought twice about ordering it due to the higher price, but I sure am glad I took the plunge. The motor on this is strong, out shines any of the small blenders I have had in the past. Love the fact that you can turn it on and it works on its own without having to stand there and hold it for blending. I would definitely highly recommend this beauty.
I’ve been slugging along with a bullet for quite a while... Gone through two of them in four years, which is a pricey way to make a smoothie
