A: Great question, placing your foundation directly on the floor may not allow for sufficient airflow. When airflow is restricted this can sometimes lead to mold and mildew growth which risks damaging the integrity of the foundation. That being said, placing your foundation directly on the floor will void your warranty.

A: We do not suggest adding legs to your foundation. The foundation works much like a box spring and should be placed on a frame.

A: A foundation ensures that mattresses sleep like they should. Some older box springs or foundations don’t provide a solid surface, causing mattresses to sag from the breaks in support. A strong and level foundation helps mattresses to perform at their peak for a decade or more, no matter what kind of bed frame they sit on. Casper foundations and mattresses (including our hybrids) are the perfect pair. We spent over a year developing the Casper foundation, so its design has the same considerations as our mattresses. It comes in the classic Casper chambray, so it goes perfectly with the rest of the Casper products.

A: We recommend purchasing the King Foundation! It should position itself perfectly on the bed frame and the sturdy construction of the King Foundation is the ideal setup for any Casper mattress.

A: Hello, Tina! That is absolutely not a dumb question considering that traditional boxsprings are such a pain to fit in tight spaces! Our foundation comes disassembled and packaged in a box that will fit through doorways and up tight staircases. Putting it together requires no tools, either. Plus, if you ever need to move it, you can easily disassemble it again.
