Q: Can you turn this on & off? For example can I run it for an hour & then turn it off & use the same pad again for an hour the next day for 3 more hours?

A: Hi, Yes you can turn on and off as needed. Once the repeller is off it will stop using your repellent and once turned on it will start using the repellent. Yes, you can use same repellent mat when needed up to 4 hours of repellency in one mat.

We bought this hoping it would help with the mosquitos but it DOES NOT. It repels NOTHING! We bought the thermacell along with a box of refills and it was definitely a WASTE OF MONEY! Will NEVER recommend this product to anyone!

This is one my favorite summer products. I am someone who always gets bit by mosquitoes even if everyone else around me doesn’t. Instead of regular small bumps I also have a weird exaggerated reaction to mosquito bites that is absolutely awful, I spent years avoiding going outside at night. This is the absolute best way to avoid being bit and not have to constantly put smelly or oily bug spray on. Finally able to enjoy being on the deck at night!!! It even kept mosquitoes away on our lake trip. 100% worth it if you’re the only always covered in bug bites. I own 3 and always have refills on me. The refills can go quick, but it’s worth the price. My extended family now owns these too just for my sake of not being bit up when visiting. Give this a try!! I’ll be buying more for next summer!

I bought 3 of those last year. We loved them as they allowed us to stay outside without being biten. They were very efficient. Unfortunaly, they all stopped working and won't "click" on.

It works well, even better if you follow the instruction to set it out a few minutes before you plan to be outside. It works best if you leave it out there by itself as in no people out there to attract mosquitos. Once a few mins has passed, the mosquitos have completely cleared out of the area. They clear out quick if there isnt anyone tempting them to stay. I also set it right outside my door while my dog is outside so that he doesn't carry mosquitos in on his body like he used to.

Love this! My balcony over looks a pond so the mosquitoes and most flying insects are bad.. I turned this on and set it outside for a few before i went out.. 2 hours in & So far no mosquitoes or the feeling that a mosquito is near lol..buy it!

After purchasing various types of Mosquito repellents, I finally found this Patio Shield from Thermacell . Easy to follow instructions so once I set it up outdoors and wait approximately 15 minutes. The mosquitoes disappeared. I noticed it works better on less windy days. I use it near pool on patio while barbecuing and at the park. It’s worth it!

Works ok. Still getting bites but not as many? Not even that breezy. And I feel like I can taste the chemical but it’s better than when I spray myself with bug spay - I feel like I always breath it in no matter how hard I try.

Stop spraying yourself just to continue to get bitten. Start up your thermacell patio leave it outside for about 15 minutes and then join it to enjoy a beautiful summer night with no bites.

Save your money, use bug spray. I thought this was some new way to repel mosquitoes, but it’s a small flame that melts repellent above it. Basically the equivalent of a small citronella candle.
