Description
Fire up the grill and make a delicious dinner with the Prep & Serve BBQ Trays from Tovolo! Nesting melamine trays keep raw and cooked meats safely separated. Color-coded trays make it easy: apply your marinade on one tray, carry it out to the grill, then swap trays after grilling. Two colors allow you to know at a glance which tray is for raw cuts and which is for cooked. Carry uncooked cuts to the grill, then use the clean tray to serve the meat once it's cooked. Ridges and grooves collect excess marinade, so you can brush extra seasoning onto your steaks, chicken breasts, and kabobs. While resting, the textured tray retains juices for the most flavorful grill-out possible. Differing colors and textures make it easy to keep trays separate to prevent cross-contamination. Use both trays for your cook-out; use one to carry your cuts to the grill, then serve on the other! I did wish the lid sealed the container but it is sort of weighted and almost feels magnetized so that it doesn’t slip off easily.

Great for marinating
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This marinade and serving tray is a nice size. I was able to fit 3 chicken breasts in easily leaving space on the sides and top. I also like how sturdy it feels and that it’s dishwasher safe. Only thing I don’t love is the idea of using the lid for serving after it was used to cover the raw meat while marinating.

It’s sturdy, easy to clean, and the color-coded trays make it simple to keep raw and cooked foods separate - something we both appreciate for safety and convenience. The ridged base helps our marinades coat everything evenly, and the top tray doubles as a serving platter, which is super handy when we’re hosting. While it’s not great for super runny marinades, it’s perfect for our go-to dry rubs and thicker sauces. It’s made our prep and cleanup so much easier! I always forget to snap photos while we’re cooking, but this tray is the perfect size for about 3-4 chicken breasts. This Tovolo medium marinade tray is durable, extremely versatile, and super easy to clean, and as you can see by my photos, it is super easy to marinade your meat, and then either bake or grill your meat, and then transfer to the top of the marinade tray to serve. This marinade tray can also be used to marinate vegetables. For larger gatherings, I just purchased the large marinade tray. Thank you #Influenster for this great addition to our kitchen.

This is a great product for outdoor cooking

You have the bottom compartment where you put your proteins in the marinade and seasonings and take it out to your grill or cooking surface and then the top tray is for when your food is cooked so that it’s not contaminated by the raw proteins below it. It is very convenient and super durable material.

Could be better

Eat to store since it is only about 2 inches thick. Cons: wish it was microwave safe. It would be nice to grill store and be able to take it out of the fridge in the dish and throw in the microwave to heat up.
