Q: Are these tea bags coated with microplastics? I just saw a video that showed how tea bags are coated with microplastic bits to keep the bags from bursting in hot water.

A: Our tea bags do not contain any microplastics. They are compostable, Non-GMO Project Verified, Rainforest Alliance-certified and made from both sustainably harvested abacá leaf fiber and wood pulp into a double-chamber design that ensure better herbal extraction (no chemical sealants!) I loved the taste. I added a teaspoon of honey and a couple drops of lemon juice. I used 2 bags per cup. I thought it would taste terrible but I was wrong. I didn’t have to run to the bathroom after drinking. My stomach ached a little but nothing abnormal.
