The best!
I was given my Meater as a gift a couple of years ago and I love it! It never fails! I cannot get over how accurate it is.

Great timer. Short reach?
I just bought it. It took awhile to estimate the time. So if its a quick cook that feature wouldn't be the most helpful. Also I was just I side the house by about 10 ft and lost signal several times. So that was extremely annoying. Will try once more before the 30 days to see if its just a problem this one time or not.

Good but poor range
I got this as a gift and I like the app and how it works but the range is not good. I was probably about 15 feet away from it inside and it kept disconnecting so I thought it might be the battery but after I changed it still disconnecting. If thw range was better def 5 star

Good day, Manicus. Thanks for your honest review. It’s great to hear you enjoy the app, but a 15-ft dropout definitely isn’t the experience you should have. Metal ovens and closed lids can block Bluetooth heavily, so even short distances can cause disconnects. Making sure the probe is fully seated and clean in the charger, and confirming the app and firmware are updated, can noticeably improve range. If the signal still drops at that distance, we’re always here to help you run a quick check and figure out what’s limiting the connection. Contact us directly at 1 888-407-0303, and we will provide you with the best resolution.

Good day, Eliae. Thank you for taking the time to share what happened, losing connection just a few feet from the oven and then getting a temperature reading that didn’t match the actual doneness is incredibly surprising( especially on a Thanksgiving cook). When a probe reports 165°F but the meat is still raw, it usually points to one of a few situations: the probe not being inserted fully past the safety notch, the sensors needing a thorough clean to read accurately, or a brief signal drop that interrupts the temperature curve. Even a small gap in the cook graph can throw the estimate off. Your MEATER Plus should deliver a stable range and reliable readings when everything is aligned, and we’re always here to help you get it back to that level. If you want, we can walk through a quick accuracy check and a range test to make sure the probe and charger are performing as they should. Our phone number for direct assistance is 1 888-407-0303, we are here to help.

Saved Christmas
I received a MEATER block last year as a present since I loved the original 1 probe model. Well on Christmas I host almost 40 people for Christmas dinner. I cook 2 whole prime ribs and a Turkey in a double oven. Well earlier that morning I fell and broke my hip which required surgery and a hospital stay, but thanks to the MEATER block I was able to direct family members how to cook the meats over the telephone. The WiFi worked PERFECTLY in the emergency room. Granted, I was on the phone 50 times with my son giving him directions, but thanks to the MEATER your product saved Christmas dinner Great product!!

I wish I’d spent my money on something else.
I have the Meater Block. The probes won’t charge. I failed to notify the company and it was just out warranty so, no support. They said it wasn’t able to be repaired even for a charge. I should have paid more attention. I thought when I first realized the problem it was the batteries. They weren’t the problem.
1 reply from MEATER team - 8 days ago
Good day, Patrick. Sorry you’ve had such a surprsing experience with your MEATER Block, when probes fail to charge, it’s usually due to worn contacts, internal faults in the block, or connection situtations rather than anything you did, so it makes sense the problem wasn’t obvious at first. Even though it’s out of warranty and not repairable, we still want you to feel supported, and we’re always here to help with clear diagnostics, guidance, and options so you’re not left dealing with this on your own.

Ambient temp measurement for the win
Was cold and windy, emphasis on windy. The ambient temp monitoring made keeping the smoker temp even a breeze.

Waste of money
Must have a dedicated connection… can walk around the house without loosing signal.. 165 ft or it doesn’t work.. what’s the point of this thing?
1 reply from MEATER team - 12 days ago
Hello Bill, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Needing a dedicated connection and losing signal as you move around the house can absolutely make the product feel less useful, and that’s not the experience we want for you. The MEATER Plus range can vary depending on distance, walls, appliances, and local interference, so some setups may need small adjustments to get a stronger, more stable signal. We’d really like to take a look at your specific layout and help optimize the connection so you can get the performance you expected. Please feel free to reach out to us at 1 888-407-0303 anytime. We’re here to help you get the most out of your MEATER.

Defective charger
This is the second charger since I purchased the Meater Probe, and this one stopped working within a month of receiving the replacement.
1 reply from Traeger team - 23 days ago
Hey there. A charger failing that quickly is uncommon. Since MEATER chargers run on a single AAA battery, many times the cause is a weak or reversed battery or the probe and charger contacts needing a quick clean and dry. Using a fresh alkaline AAA and wiping the probe contacts and the pins inside the case usually brings the LED back on. If the charger still doesn’t power the probe, our team can help get everything sorted through the MEATER Support page. MEATER Support

Meater + Review
Just phenomenal, great piece of tech, the app is fantastic too, can cook just about anything with it to perfection. I’ve had this for a couple of years now and can’t imagine or would ever want to cook without it. I’ve recommended it to several friends who also ended up buying and the feedback has been the same… I’ve done my research and there is no other that is as good. Hoping I’ll get the the newer pro version for next Father’s Day 😉

Hello Sergio, we love hearing it’s become a go-to after a couple of years, and thank you for spreading the word to friends. That means a lot. If you decide to upgrade down the road, our latest generation adds improvements like extended range and higher heat durability while using the same app you already know. Keep the app updated for new guides and features, and enjoy many more spot‑on cooks. MEATER Support

One of the best kitchen gadgets ever bought.
I always use my Meater to make sure that meats are hot enough to be safe and not over cooked.
1 reply from MEATER team - 1 month ago
Hello there, we love hearing your MEATER Plus has become a go-to in your kitchen. Cooking to internal temp is the surest way to hit food safety without drying things out, quick tip: place the probe tip in the thickest part of the meat and set alerts for both target temp and rest, so carryover cooking doesn’t push it past done.

Grill like the Pros.
I have had the MEATER for over a year. This has been the most important tool for the grilling game. It takes all the guess out and makes even the most amateur grilled a pro.
1 reply from MEATER team - 2 months ago
Hello, we love hearing this after a year of cooking. MEATER takes the guesswork out by tracking internal temp and carryover, so you can keep the lid down and hit that perfect doneness more consistently. Thanks for sharing, enjoy those pro-level results, and contact us if you have questions, our team is always here to help.

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE my MEATER Plus. The first time I used it, I cooked a perfectly medium rare ribeye steak. Can't wait to use it in my smoker. I've already purchased the MEATER Pro Duo.

Works great but needs better range.
Surprisingly the range is poor. If I am grilling outside and go in the house the range is around 10 yards at most.

Very disappointed in my waste of money
The batteries provided leaked acid into the charger box and it no longer works.
1 reply from MEATER team - 2 months ago
Hello there, we understand how surprising this situation must be. When batteries leak, the acid can corrode the contacts inside the charger, preventing it from functioning properly and potentially affecting the probe as well. Replacing the charger and using fresh, high-quality batteries typically resolves the problem, and inspecting the probe for any residue can help maintain long-term performance. You can reach out to us at support.meater.com, our team will assist you in getting your MEATER working properly again and help ensure a smooth, reliable experience.
