Quality of bed is nice. Unfortunately the desciption asks for a standard twin mattress but once we set it the entire bed there is a gap totaling 5in at top/bottom. Even if we try to center the mattress the gap is significant for my child. Especially for the top bunk we find it very dangerous.

Needs a higher weight limit

I don’t get these 225 lb weight limits including mattress. If the mattress weighs 50 lbs (ours does) then a 175 lb adult or child would be at the weight limit. I get these are for kids but due to lack of space I’d like to know I could host an adult without them potentially breaking the bed. They should hold 300 lbs to be safe.
