Confusing labeling
The package description on larger package says 24oz but, when ordering the choices are 1lb or 2lb package. This caused confusion and I went by the ordering quantity (2lbs) thinking the description was in error. Unfortunately, it was a 24oz package, too little for my needs. This should be updated online.

Target sold expired meat
Ordered online for curbside pickup. Just got home and putting items away. This was the first and last time I will order meat from Target. Today is Dec 8, 2025. Date on package clearly states use or freeze by Dec 7,2025. I guess they hoped I wouldn’t notice because whoever picked this item put a sticker over the date! Not happy that I have to go back and stand in line to return the expired meat.

Incorrect weight listed
I ordered 2 lbs, and the larger size is only 1.5 lbs. I was short on meat for the meal. Meat is also tough to chew, even after being in a crockpot all day.

So TOUGH!
I should have known by the way this meet looked when I was cutting into 1” cubes to brown for stew that it would be very tough cut. I dredged the cubes of stew meat in n flour, browned them on all sides and added the vegetables and beef broth for a 2 1/2 hour braise in the slow oven. We were looking forward to a good hearty winter meal of delicious beef stew. Well, what disappointment for all when we served the stew and found the vegetables and broth to be delicious and melt in your mouth tender and the beef cubes to be too tough to chew! I would never buy this product again. A few words to the wise - use a different type and cut of meat if you want a a delicious tender beef stew product!
