SCAM!! Listen to the comments yall!! When you try to “activate” the card through the webpage or phone number on the card, they scam you and leave the card with a few cents in balance!!

Worst card ever
Do not buy this card I bout 4 at 100 so that's 400 and the fee was $24 so my $424 went down the drain the online says the card has funds on it but nothing is there when you try to use it to purchase item...never buying a gift card again in my life.

Worthless
Fraud. Tried to use the card, funds are there but it was flagged as suspicious and the card is useless. Once it’s flagged, it can never be used. Target won’t refund me even though I bought it from them. The third party seller is “offering” a replacement card in two weeks but didn’t take my address or name. But the third party provider doesn’t work for Target so how do they have my info to send the replacement card? Not worth the time or trouble

Not understanding all the negative reviews
Dislike: the 1 hr funds hold but that's for your benefit to prevent fraud. We have never had issues with our giftcards not working. We always purchase them in store.

SCAM
Absolute scam of a company- and to make it worse, it was almost impossible to write a negative target review. It doesn’t work anywhere, won’t work on Apple Pay anymore and it’ll decline on other apps for “unverifiable security” reasons. Of course when you call it takes an hour to complain and the staff struggle to speak English. Target should be reported for even selling the product

Won’t work at any of the stores that I tried to use it at and then I called to tell him about it, and I was told to print it out and take it to the merchant. Well I got an E gift card for a reason

Worthless
I bought this as a gift for a friend and they haven't been able to get it to work at all. We've been trying for 2 days now and we are finding out that it is not just us having issues accessing it. It doesn't connect to anything, no matter which apps you try. I would give this a -5 stars if I could. I wasted $55 to get something that doesnt even work.

Now useless for online purchases
As of 2025, these are now essentially useless for any online purchase. Not sure if you'll have better luck in a physical store. They used to be widely accepted online and now I can't get them to be accepted at Amazon, anything that uses Shop App for checkout (which is tons of businesses), Google Play Store, iOS App Store, among other things. You also can't add them to your Paypal wallet. Not sure if it's because there's no way to add your own billing address to the gift card or what, but it's a huge bummer.

Do not buy! Not worth it.
The $5 fee is a scam and I wish I realized it was there before purchasing in store. I kept the gift cards myself because I happened to see online reviews before gifting them. Mine worked but I could only apply it to a transaction with a total less than the gift card amount.

Scam and Fraud
This is not a gift card. The company steals your money, gives you a run around and never resolves your missing money. Don’t ever buy this, I can’t believe these are still a product.

Do not buy! Unusable cards.
Brainerd Target sold me this card but didn’t load funds. When I tried to have them load it after the lurches, they said they couldn’t and I would have to call the number on the back. Called and started a claim. They said it was going to take 30 DAYS to investigate and review.

Iffy card
It came on time but wasn’t activated and the gift card company was sketchy with asking information and somehow the amount got put on hold so apparently getting a new card delivered so I’ll give an update when it comes.

Scam- dont buy!
I received this card as a gift from my cousin on my birthday, came with a gift receipt. When I opened it the same day four of the numbers nd code on the back of the card had been scratched off. I was unable to use it and target did not refund.
