I have purchased this gift card twice and both times after activating it and I go to use it and I’m told it’s declined. I call the number on the card and I’m told it’s been compromised. I don’t understand how that continues to happen right after being activated. I get sent a replacement that takes 7 to 10 days to arrive. It’s completely an inconvenience to purchase this gift card

Yes, can seem like a scam when the card is placed on hold, however I called customer support and got a check within 2 weeks. They stated someone was able to access the card number and so it was placed on “HOLD for suspicious activity” but they did mail me a check. I buy these all the time and out of maybe 6-7 I’ve bought this had only happened twice. Make sure to screenshot the card number and receipt for proof of purchase

I bought two of these Egift cards and both of them have been put on hold and not able to use. Called 1 (877) 867-4873 And they told me that they can not replace the card but they can refund which could take up to 30 days. So now I am out of $400. Not to mention the email that had the card number no longer shows the card number so no proof of the card. Sounds fishy to me

purchased this for my daughters Washington DC school trip. She used is once and then Vanilla decided to put a hold on the card due to fradulent activity. I was informed that they can NOT remove the hold. DO NOT BUY THIS GIFT CARD!!!

As mentioned with several other reviews, there are obvious scammers selling their cards at Target and there has been no help solving the issue. I purchased two of these $200 cards to be able to use for expenses while traveling. They were purchased at the gift card display near the registers at the Baybrook location in the Houston, Texas area. Upon opening the completely sealed blister packs, it was obvious that both cards were fraudulent and the last 8 numbers of each and magnetic strip had been scratched off for some type of scam. I have tried to call the provider number on the back of the card - mybalancenow.com - but they will not even let you get past the prompts unless you have the full 16 digit number. I have submitted email reports on their website as directed and have gotten no response after weeks or even record of report submission. I have been to the Target Baybrook location customer service and they were absolutely no help and seemed to have no concern that a distributor was placing fraudulent cards in their store. This was after speaking with the manager on duty, and I was informed that the lead manager location is "out on extended leave" (who is overseeing the store in the meantime?!). The manager on duty then directed me to call a specific Target customer service number, which I did. I was hopeful based on the request to send in pictures of the cards, but then I only received back form responses from email representatives. They tell me they are so sorry they can't help and direct me back to the website for the provider, where of course there is no way to get assistance. I am now out $412 and have spent a month being sent in circles for a resolution.

I purchased this card couple of weeks ago for my daughter, but it doesn't work! I try to call their customer service number on the card, however, there is nobody to assist you! Their website is asking for a 16 digits card number in order to proceed further, but the number on this prepaid card only has 12 digits, which you will be stuck in on the very first page of their website and not be able to go anywhere else! I have called target customer service for this issue, they just told me to call the customer service number that's on the card which has nobody to help from that number!! It's a $200 gift card that target (such a big well known brand businesse) sells that is fraudulent! I can not believe this! Apparently, I'm not the only person that has encountered this, there are more then enough people are reporting the same issue! And target is still selling them!!? Wow!

These cards are a scam . DO NOT BUY! I bought several e gift cards and I he first few worked great but now I have 2 totaling $260 that they places on hold for no valid reason . Instead of refunding the original form of payment or lifting the hold they are making me jump through hoops, emailing in all this personal information in order to get a refund check sent to me that they say takes 30-60 days ! If this isn’t theft I don’t know what is .

Unfortunately, this company appears to be fraudulent. They lock out your virtual card if they suspect fraud, but when you call, they can't unlock your card. They say they'll mail you a refund check in the mail. Well, that check never comes. I've called several times, and they just keep telling me, "give it 7-10 days." I wish Target would stop selling these cards.

Card cane quick via email but as soon as I tried to add it to my apple wallet the card gave me unable to be added error and now I’m sitting here fighting with them for a refund and target won’t help either. Try a different e-gift card ppl this ain’t it.

Bought two of these to give to the sitter to pay for food on a trip for our kids. Both cards had their last four numbers scratched off and the security codes scratched off. Company deemed them compromised- luckily. Both packages were sealed when purchased.

I've tried to use this gift card at Amazon and at a restaurant, both times it has been denied. Balance shows $200 but wouldn't matter if it shows $0 as I can't seem to use it. The card states on the back "This card is valid only in the US at merchants who accept visa debit or pulse debit cards". I called customer service to ask about the declined Amazon purchase and they told me Amazon does not take visa gift cards. But this states it's a visa debit card. So it seems the card is lying and is not usable at places that accept visa debit. I'll need to find someway to get the money off / find somewhere that actually takes it, avoid this gift card unless you want a similar experience.

I have purchased about 8 of these physical gift cards and received them through the mail - I’ve had no issues using them. These cards work at any merchant that can swipe the physical card, and some online retailers (not all). I’ve used them at fast food places, grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations, etc. There was a situation where they placed a hold on one of my cards due to suspicious activity, but they sent me a replacement card within a week. Not sure why so many people are having issues?
