Q: does this water pic have the proposition 65

submitted by Frank - 3 years ago
  • A: I believe it is probably because Waterpiks, as well as other such devices, can develop mold inside of the wand devices.

    submitted byTechnogeek864 - 5 months ago
  • A: Waterpik recently completed testing of our water flosser products for compliance with the California Proposition 65 law. Test results indicate no chemicals on the Proposition 65 list were detected or exceeded the Safe Harbor Limit; therefore, the Proposition 65 labeling has since been removed from our Oral Care products.

  • A: If test results indicate no chemicals on the Proposition 65 list were detected or exceeded the Safe Harbor Limit, why remove the Proposition 65 labeling? Hmmm... Makes no sense...

Q: Does this work with 220 volts?

submitted by Eileen - 2 years ago
  • A: You need to change in the description that this runs on a battery as power source.

submitted byTeal - 1 year ago
  • A: Hi Eileen - The Ultra is compatible with 120VAC/60Hz outlets, for use in North America only.

Q: What are the pros and cons of having a water reservoir instead of just a flosser?

submitted by e - 3 years ago
  • A: The only con I've noticed is that it is too loud.

submitted bySJ - 3 years ago
  • A: The Waterpik Water Flosser has been around since 1962 and is designed to take the place of traditional string floss and has actually been clinically proven to be up to 50% more effective than traditional string floss for improving gum health. You can read the clinical research here: https://www.waterpik.com/oral-health/clinical-research/ In addition, we have been awarded the American Dental Assoiciation's prestigious Seal of Acceptance for its efficacy and safety. Q: Is the resivoir easy to remove, to pour out the liquid, and to clean?

submitted by Dee - 6 years ago
  • A: For longer life out of your Water Flosser, don't allow the reservoir to run completely dry when using. When the water pressure begins to decrease as the water level drops (you'll hear a change in sound), turn the unit off. It'll keep the pump from running dry.

submitted byno name selected - 6 years ago
  • A: Yes it is very easy to remove. Pulls right off for easy filling, emptying, and cleaning.

submitted bymoosecat - 6 years ago

Q: Could I put mouthwash in this product?

submitted by Brittani Beksha - 6 years ago
  • A: sure can! I use a mix of 50/50 mouthwash and peroxide and fill the contained with a little water. works perfectly.

submitted byOutForDelivery - 6 years ago
  • A: We put mouthwash in ours often, and always run a bit of water through it after use. No problems so far after over a year!

Replaces my old smaller Waterpik. Great unit - overall size, adjustable pressure, quiet, fluid capacity, lid with storage, recoiling hose and easy holder. Highly recommend.

My new waterpik

My handle leaks from the off/on switch and from the tip release switch. This machine uses water much faster than my previous machine. I do not like the lid design at all. It’s cumbersome to use. I prefer the hinged lid (hinged to top of tank). I can’t tell any difference with this machine than with my 15 year old machine for cleaning my teeth. My old machine finally started having problems after 15 years great service. I prefer the tip storage on the old machine. Arthritic hands will have difficulty taking the lid off the new machine each time to fill tank. I constantly drop the lid, the tips spill everywhere. I finally decided to leave the lid off.

Water container should have a handle

Works great as a water pick. The only problem with it is the water container. It is difficult to remove from the frame when filling with water. There is a suction cup that sticks to the bottom of the container and the frame when removing it.

Directions for use were very poor. There are no directions on how to sanitize the unit which should be done regularly. Otherwise the unit works great but takes getting used to.

It could use a longer power cord. The water recepticle is smaller then my last one. It lasted about 3 years before the hose sprung a leak. It seems a little lighter It does not seem as powerful as my last water pick, but it seems to do a fine job.
1 reply from Product Support team - 16 days ago
Hello - Thank you for your feedback. The power cord on the model can be safely extended to 50 inches. Waterpik stands behind the quality of our products and their warranties. If you have any issues, we encourage you to contact us at 1-800-525-2774 or send an email to smreviews@waterpik.com.
