Q: Does the Square Space protection plan replace the controller with a refurbished controller or a new one if it breaks or stops working.
A: target protection plans overlap with the Microsoft warranty so if you buy 2 years you actually only get 1 because Microsoft already covers 1 year.

Q: Does the controller play like the last one?
