Zojirushi GoCafe Insulated Mug

This keeps the coffee hot for hours. Have to open the lid for a bit to cool it down. Worth every penny.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The GoCafe is an excellent insulated mug. I found the 24oz. size to be easy to grip and fit in car cupholders. The finish and styling of this mug are top-notch and you can tell it is very well engineered by the way the parts fit and and how all the surfaces and edges are eased (rounded). Most importantly, it keeps hot drinks really hot and iced drinks ice cold while also being light weight. The lid locks and really works to prevent spills inside your bag. The stainless steel inner lining is highly polished to ease cleaning and help to not retain the flavor of the last drink. Rubber seals seem to be of high quality and fit. Screw lid goes on perfectly with no binding. My only improvement for this mug overall, would to be to make it top rack dishwasher safe, rather than just hand washable. The drink lip (sip area) is removable for cleaning. After removing the lid from the mug, press down on the area I've shown in my last picture.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mug is an overall winner. It keeps my coffee hot all morning and fits easily in my car's cup holder. I like the minimal number of lid assembly pieces, as it makes for simple cleaning (handwashing is recommended). The only feature I do not care for is the placement of the lid push-button; it bangs into my chin with each sip. Visually, this thermos is sleek and stylish, but it would be handy if the lid had a small carry handle. It seems form is touted over function in this model.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this mug a little less than a month ago (for free on the condition I give an honest review), and use it a few times a week for coffee. It performs very well, keeping liquids at the same temperature for hours. I actually need to cool my coffee a bit before I put it in, or else it'll never be cool enough to drink! I really love the locking mechanism and the fact that it is *fully* leakproof. My main complaint with other mugs is that it leaks through the top of the lid. When I put them in my bag's bottle compartment, they'll leak everywhere when I walk or bike. This mug has never had that problem. It's also beautiful (the gradient blue color). I will say that the 24 oz. is probably more capacity than I needed, but I appreciate that I have room if I ever need it. While I received the mug for free, these are my real opinions and I would honestly buy the mug for myself again!

When I first bought it, I had an issue with it not drying out fully but I quickly learned that if I give a shake about 30 minutes to an hour after setting it to dry, that solves the problem and it’s to good to go in a few hours. I love my mug! I use it for cold and hot drinks and have to use ice cubes to get the hot drinks to a reasonable temperature before I drink them. Highly, highly recommend!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You really can't go wrong with Zojirushi when it comes to water bottles. My GoCafe bottle came at the end of summer and now that it's fall - it kept my iced coffee cold and hot coffee hot. As a heavy coffee drinker, I like the 24oz size - large enough to last through the day, yet small enough to avoid overdrinking. The Sumi color adds a nice personal touch, since mostly bottles on the market tend to be just one solid color. My only suggestion would be to add a handle or strap - the 24oz size is pretty tall and sticks out of my backpack's side pockets, so a handle would make it easier to carry. All in all, this is a great product!

I mostly drink ice cold water in this and it has kept it cold overnight and throughout the day. It has also been great for hot coffee in the morning. It is very easy to clean as there are not many parts to it. I appreciate the safety lock so I know it will not accidentally open when stored in my backpack. It also is leak proof from what I have experienced. In addition I love the minimal design of the bottle. It is slim enough to fit in my car's cup holder, which has been an issue with other bottles I have purchased. Overall great product!

This is by far the best of these insulated mugs that I have used. It has a very nice tactile feel - the texture of the exterior is very nice. The interior is highly polished and mirror-like so you can see what’s in there better and tell it is clean. The mouth piece makes it easy to pour or drink out of. It flips up so you don’t have to unscrew the cap. I really like this mug.

What I really appreciate is that it fits perfectly in the cup holder of my car - even though it's a large sized mug. And, the lid is easy to open and close, making it very convenient to access and drink from it while on a drive. Pouring from the mug is simple, and it doesn't leak. The extra lock is a good safeguard. I also own a 17 ounce Zojirushi Stainless Steel Bottle. I have not done a "scientific" test - but while both bottles keep my coffee hot (or at least very warm) for the entire day, my impression is that the Stainless Steel maintains the heat a little longer. But, truthfully, they both do a great job (I don't use them for cold drinks, so I can't comment on that). If I had to make a recommendation, I would consider the Stainless Steel model of the 24 oz. GoCafe.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the 24 oz go Cafe and wow I love the cleaning aspect of it. I can disassemble the lid area and wash it throughly. The bottle is sturdy and fits in my car cup holder. Drink stays cold throughout the entire day even sitting in my semi hot car. I also love carrying it in my backpack side pocket and it doesn't weigh down too much, it still feels light enough to carry around all day. One personal opinion while drinking, the push button to open the lid touches my chin very slightly and not liking that, but I try to lift thw bottle enough so it stops bothering me. Nice touch is the aerating feel while drinking. It helps not to spill while drinking. Many times, in other bottles, I've spilled while drinking out of it, so I had to switch to a straw bottle. I'm glad I don't have to deal with straws, it makes it harder to just drop it in my bag and go. Overall I like the gocafe bottle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So first off, I have owned contigos for the majority of my life. I liked the lock mechanism on a contigo but it never kept my drink hot for long and i realize that it would also leak easily. The other thing that didnt bother me until recently was how contigo mugs were not covered. This zojirushi gocafe mug fits my preferences pretty much to the tee! I like 16 oz because it’s not too tall. Kept my hot drinks hot for literally 8 hours. My contigo could never. The best past is how its easy to clean the cap. Disassembling and assembling it is easy. The only reason i gave this a 4/5 is the locking mechanism. I constantly lock the cap by accident because I’m left handed when twisting the bottle cap on. I imagine that if i was right handed, i would constantly twist the lock to unlock position. Other than that. The mug works great.

I use mine for water or iced tea daily and I like it a lot. I like how you can easily take the lid apart to clean as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this insulated mug a couple weeks ago and have been comparing it to the SM-SH line of insulated mugs (that I also own one of). The SM-VH line does not have any removable silicone gasket pieces, which makes cleaning simpler in that you don't have to disassemble things as often (but perhaps you have to scrub in tighter spots as a result). The drinking experience and mug lid mechanism work just the same as the other mug version, so on the whole it's a solid mug and performs exactly like you'd expect a Zojirushi mug to do. I love the double walled nature and how it keeps my hands from getting burned or chilled.
