Handy to help refresh the edge of the knife between sharping. You do not need to worry about the angle as you would on a sharpening steel.

One of the better, easy to use knife sharpeners we've tried over the years. Just a draw through the fine side hones a nice, sharp edge on your blade. We've only had it for a few weeks but I'd have to give it a big thumbs-up based on the preliminaries! Love the non-slip, rubber base and the handle/grip is designed very ergonomically.

To be fair it was my first time using something like this and I was hesitant from the start. I was able to sharpen one of my knives a bit, although I used the paper test and it wasn’t as sharp as I would like. Perhaps I will give it another chance on a different day and hopefully have better results.
