Before you take, check on potential side effects as some meds are rendered not just ineffective, but useless and there are potential serious side effects.

The rating is 1 start because we have discovered St. Wort has a number of drug interactions that can be extremely serious based upon meds being taken, etc. We had wondered why we we having less than full effect on BP and Brain meds we take and we only belatedly discovered (our fault) that ST. Johns Wort has serious drug interactions - specifically lessening the affect of the prescription meds. Worse - my wife came down with Covid over the weekend (1st time) and discovered that the Paxlovid should not be taken if you had taken St. Wort recently. Evidently it takes some time to flush out the affects of taking St. Wort. So buyer beware - if you aren't taking any Prescription Meds then you should be fine, but otherwise talk to your Doctor first - there is a laundry list of drug interactions and affects listed if you go and look - we didn't and nearly paid a dear price as one of those has very serious side effects (including cardiac issues).

I have been taking St. John's Wort for years and it is an AMAZING product to ward off low grade depression and give me a brighter outlook on life. The difference of one capsule a day in my dosage can make the difference between a 'happy day' or 'Eyore' sort of day. With Covid, life is tough and taking St. Johns' sure beats the hard narcotics that doctors will prescribe. Over the years pharmicast have told me that I can take it forever without any issue other that more sensitive to sunlight. I've taken them for at least 15 years. Make sure it has the 'Aerial Parts' in the ingredients!!! Very important!

It’s better than a therapist

St John’s Wort is a great mood enhancer. I’ve been taking it for over 30 yrs. and it has helped me keep from saying or acting in an unkind way. Without it I probably wouldn’t be here today. Thank you Swanson

Excellent version of SJW. Tried many others but this one is a winner! Does the job it is supposed to and with no bad side effects. It calms me down every day and helps me manage stress more effectively than ever. Go through my day with hardly any stress issues. I take maximum daily dose and have had no bad side effects at all. Highly recommend.

I use this to help regulate hormones, most specifically to reduce excess estrogen. It also works wonders at reducing stress levels.

as good as time-released for 375 mg.

I've been talking St. Johns Wort for about six years. The Swanson product is good quality, with the right amount that I need each day. Previously, the best product I tried was Nature's Sunshine time-released capsule, which is a fine product. Swanson works as well, and is easier for me to access.

Swanson's St. John's Wort

This another supplement that I've been taking on and off again for years. It DOES help do what it claims, but by itself it's just ok. I take it with other herbs for more effectiveness. Price can't be beat and it is well worth it, just don't be discouraged if it doesn't work for you. Try combining it with other supplements that 'do the same thing' and it will have a better effect.

Perfect strength for me

There are certain times in my life when I really need this, and for me, it is priceless. I have tried several other brands and strengths, but they have all been too strong for me. This one is perfect. I would write lots more about how great it is and how it helps me, but Swanson prefers general statements. Google the usefulness. I'm so happy I found it. The only reason I gave it four stars (leaves) instead of five under "quality" is because it has a gelatin cap and not a non-animal source cap, like cellulose. I hope Swanson will make the switch to vegetable-based caps very soon. The price for this is incredible, too. Highly recommend!
