The only thing that disappoints me that it’s not waterproof. I used it before going to the gym, and it was all over my face and hands. Great if your going to be in a cool environment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I gave L’Oreal Magic Root Cover Up a try and it’s definitely does a great job covering my gray roots and also helps fill in my thinning part, which gives my hair a fuller look in seconds. I love that it lets me stretch the time between salon visits without feeling self-conscious about my roots showing. The application is quick and easy, and the color blends in nicely although I think I should go a shade or two darker. The only downside is that it can feel a little chalky on my hair, and I did notice some color transfer to my hands after touching it—though that might’ve been because I used a bit too much. Overall, it’s a super convenient, affordable fix for those in-between hair days.

This root cover-up is ammonia free, peroxide free, and no synthetic dyes. It comes in a 2 ounce can that is easy to hold and has a small nozzle tip for precise coloring. It is very important to follow the directions for best results. First, you need to shake the can well. Next, hold the can 4 to 6 inches from your hair and spray the color onto the new growth and partly through the length of the hair to blend in the color. Let it dry for at least one minute. Pro Tip: Place a parting comb along hairline to cover hairline from color pigments. This magic root cover-up is great, especially in between salon hair appointments.

I don’t have much grey but this does a great job at making it seem like I have none. It has a great spray nozzle and literally covers in seconds. It does transfer a bit if you rub/scratch your hair and also makes my hair a bit hard to the touch. Overall though great product.

I don’t have a lot of gray in my hair, but I do have a bit around front of my hairline. The Magic Root did a good job at covering them up. It blended with my natural hair color very nicely, and was practically unnoticeable. You have to be quite careful when spraying around your hairline in order for it to not get on your forehead area. If you do happen to get a bit of overspray, it wipes off fairly easily if you take care of it quickly. It doesn’t have an overwhelming fragrance, like some hair coloring products. It also didn’t make my hair sticky or gummy feeling. Overall, it’s a good product.

It matches my hair color pretty closely so that was great. It also filled in some spots to make my hair appear thicker in those areas…love that! It doesn’t rub off easily or stain your pillowcases either. So that’s a plus plus.

The color is, it’s a little darker than I anticipated but still works with my hair color. I set it with my hair dryer. Washes out easily. I didn’t notice any scent.

The application was easy with single sprays, but my one suggestion would be to add a comb end so you can spread out more. Overall. It lasted for days when not washing my hair and only slightly faded after one wash.

It doesn’t smell off putting and is easy enough to blend with your hair. My only complaint is the way it feels in my hair, I am someone who hates the feel of product aside from a leave in conditioner or heat protection and I can feel this in my hair.

The color blends perfectly with my own hair and coverage greys with no problems. The product dries almost instantly and there was no transfer of color on to my hat and no skin irritation.
