Great fix for in-between permanent coloring!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] L'oreal Magic Root Cover Up does a great job of covering gray! It takes some practice to get it on just right. I added a video showing how the product goes on. To avoid having it on my face, I sprayed a little closer to my hair. I used my brush to help blend it in. It didn't take very long. I usually have roots within 2-3 weeks after coloring, and I don't want to color more often, so this is a great way to cover gray without having to dye so often. It lasted until I washed it again. It is a little on the messy side, but it is easy to wash off hands and surfaces should it end up on them. It has a pleasant scent that is very subtle. I will use this on a regular basis from now on.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have one other bottle of this that I was finishing up. Love the way it covers my gray as it grows out, BUT it splattered … all over! I’ve ruined two shirts using this product. So, when I got the offer to try it again through Influenster, I grabbed it to see if it was just the can that I had purchased in the store. Nope. This one splatters as well. I have learned my lesson - I will continue to use this product, because I do like what it does, but I now wrap a large towel around my shoulders to catch any drips. Love the product (5 stars), but only gave 4 because of the drips.

The coverage and shade were a perfect match for what I was looking to cover. But, the scent is too overpowering and it didn’t go away. Be really careful about how much you use as well, this isn’t like the powders that go on easily come off, this stuff has staying power!! Do not use too much, start in small bursts and then check it!

I only have a handful of strands and some were covered, but most remained gray. Application is easy but it’s not for me. Left my hair greasy after application.

No weird smell. Did not stain my scalp. I was able to easily brush through my hair. Definitely would recommend! I provided before and after pictures from the top part of my head. Packaging is simple and shows an accurate color match. Reasonably priced. Perfect for those times when you need to get your hair colored but life gets in the way.

I thought it was stuck with it up until now. This fantastic product let me easily spot cover the small patch of gray, and the color matches my dark blonde hair perfectly. It’s so natural looking! The application was super easy… took me about three seconds to spray my hair, and I was good to go! And the product does NOT have a bad smell unlike many coloring products. As I get older, there will be more patches of gray to come, and this product will be a staple in my house!

Hold a few inches away and spray. I find at the hairline by the face it is best to use a tissue to avoid getting it on my face. Easy to comb through if you don’t wash your hair daily. Small enough can to take on a trip!

If you touch your hair at all during the day, your fingers will turn black. This product is not effective. Will not reuse.
