Great to help you sleep.
This supplement are very nice to take. Easy to swallow and don't have a overwhelming scent that usually vitamin and supplements have. Pills are tiny. So it's easy to swallow. Bottle doesn't smell. I take 1 pill about 1 hour before bedtime. To help me sleep better and have a well rested sleep. They actually help me a lot.

Provides some level of help.
I started taking this product (coincidentally) right as a stressful stretch at work started. I have been able to ride through this patch pretty well - the product didn’t eliminate every sign of stress, but I think it did provide some help with managing things.

Game Changer for my sleep!
This is a great product! I was looking for something other than wine to calm my mind down before bedtime . This does the trick. When I take it before bed I am calmer and sleep so much better. It increases serotonin and I notice an improvement in my mood during the day too! Great product that has become a daily supplement for me! Highly recommend!

Not worth it.
Not sure about this supplement. The labels don't provide a lot of information about the product or dosing guidelines. Wish the labels where more like other vitamins companies or OTC medications. As far as the intended use, not noticing any improvement toy sleep or stress after a few weeks of use.

Good alternative to melatonin
There is not a low enough dose of melatonin I can take without feeling "off" the next day, even taking it earlier in the night. I took two of these Thorne supplements about an hour before bed and have been falling asleep much easier without the next day grogginess. My mood has improved, but I'm not sure if that's due to the supplements or better sleep quality.

Positive Results Overall
I tend to approach these kinds of products with a certain amount of skepticism, partly because it’s hard to be entirely certain if any positive effects are actually due to the product or other factors or just luck. Having said that, I can say that while using this product I did sleep well, so at the very least it seems likely that it does actually have benefits. As far as the product itself- the pills are small and easy to swallow. One potential downside is the recommended dosage- 1-2 pills, three times a day. Depending on your lifestyle, that may or may not be a lot to keep track of. And at the rate of six pills a day, a bottle lasts about two weeks. To summarize- I think these do actually help, but I’m not sure they help SO significantly that they’re worth the effort and cost.

Helpful results
Taking this helped quite a bit (of course always hoping for more). The one part that was a pain was taking multiple times a day - it would have been easier if this was once a day or even at the beginning and end of the day.

Calming supplement
Easy to swallow capsules. No smell or taste. I think they worked a little for calming and sleep. I think I would need to take longer to see if that would have more of an effect. It would help if the bottle included more information on the supplement.

High quality vitamins that address very specific concerns and/or needs. Honesty can’t tell if these actual work but I’m not a huge vitamin person in general. Nice packaging. They are on the pricier side.

These Thorne Hydroxytryptophan supplements to improve sleep and mood are ineffective.
These Thorne Hydroxytryptophan dietary supplements for Serotonin Support for Sleep and Stress Management were ineffective on me. I took the recommended dosage for approximately 3 weeks in an attempt to help improve my sleep issues. I saw no results. Another issue I have with this product is there is very little information provided on the bottle. I had to Google the name to get more info. I should note that I did not purchase this item, as I am a product reviewer.

Okay but not great
I’ve never taken 5HTP before but my husband has. He liked it so I tried it too. Easy to swallow capsules. I’m not sure if it worked the way that I had hoped but it did relax me slightly. There were no side effects so that was good

Nice size
I just started taking these pills and I have not seen any change in myself in regards to the pills so I can not right a clear review. They are very easy to swallow, they do not have a unpleasant smell which is good

Love these
These pills work so well for me! I have always had issues with sleep and these have really helped me to get better rest. The pills are small and easy to swallow. They don't have any strange scent or taste. They don't upset my stomach either. This is definitely a good quality supplement.

Better sleep!
I am so happy with these supplements! I have used melatonin for a long time, and it works, but not always. Since adding these to my night time regimen, I have been getting consistently better sleep than with melatonin alone. Capsules are small and easy to swallow, which is an added benefit.

Worth the switch
I’ve taken a few different brands of 5-HTP, but a random thing I like about Thorne is the small capsule size. It’s an easy add into my daily pill case. Beyond that, the brand has a great reputation and a data backed approach to wellness. I recommend 5-HTP to everyone in my life, and Thorne is my new go to brand. In these times, who isn’t in need of a little extra serotonin supporting boost!
