It's ridiculous that all the new scents Dawn comes in smells awful!!! Like some nasty old stinky perfume and that smell stays on the dishes. Would love to get the Orginal scent back. I've been trying other brands and haven't found one that cleans as good as Dawn but they don't stink. I'll find the right new dish soap but I'm not going back to Dawn.

To get any scent off of your dishes, we recommend you soak the dishes in hot water with some distilled white vinegar added to it (or) run them through the dishwasher (assuming the dishes are dishwasher safe). Blue Dawn has always been unbeatable when it comes to cleaning literally anything. Except..the original scent used to make me feel sick bc I am easily nauseous so I had stopped using it. I bought this one day and thought, what is that absolutely WONDERFUL smell?!?! Then, I realized that ya'll had finally fixed the strong original scent to be heavenly. Now it is so good, I cannot believe it. Very few scents that I love, but you hit the target on this! Now, DAWN is EVen BETTER THAN EVER~ Thank you!!!

I have used Dawn original for over 30 years. I do not like the new fragrance! We had to throw our rolls out because they tasted like perfume. The taste was coming from your new fragrance on our cooking tray. I will not buy Dawn anymore.

I just received a new bottle of dawn not thinking anything started to use it wondering if someone had sprayed a strong febreeze smell in it. I have a very strong stomach when it comes to smells but this smell make me feel nauseated. It smells like they got a more toxic and cheap smell to cut costs. I'm so unhappy with this will not be using this anymore and original dawn was the one I liked to use. I dunno who would want there dishes to smell like febreeze its just sickening. The point is to have a light scent that you can't smell on your dishes so you know its gone! Noone wants to eat this horrible febreeze scent. I'm not even a person who gets irrated with scents easy. But I had to tell every person I know who's sensitive to scents because it's not even labeled new scent. I've been buying the original dawn for along time and there was no change in bottle. That right there just seems like a scam or trying to trick customer which I have lost respect.

Loyal Dawn user for years and will continue to use the “original “, if I can find it. I will not use any of the newly scented products as they smell horrible. All men should surely recognize the smell of urinal cakes used in public toilets. Yep, that’s the smell.

The new scent is nauseating!! Not only is the smell awful but it lingers on the dishes. It makes my dishes smell like I washed them in cheap body wash. Why take something as beloved and classic as dawn dish soap and turn it into something completely unusable?? I will no longer be purchasing Dawn products and this feels like a huge loss.

Consumer feedback is vital in helping us improve our products and ensuring that we deliver the best possible experience to our consumers; it’s also instrumental in guiding the Dawn Team as they continue to work on future innovations. In regard to the scent lingering on your dishes, we wouldn't expect this to be your experience, however, if the soap isn't completely rinsed off, or if the dishes have become porous, it is possible. If certain items always pick up a flavor, they're probably worn to the point of being porous and should be washed by hand. It might help to know that cast iron and plastic items can absorb flavors. To remove the scent/taste, please soak the dishes in hot water with some distilled white vinegar added. We hope this was helpful, but we'd like to learn more about your experience, try to make things right, and tell you more about our Dawn Free & Clear version that offers our lightest scent. I made the mistake of buying this because the "new fresh scent" description on the last bottle was gone. I should have opened it and taken a whiff. The smell is so offensive to me that I'm going to need to give it away.

I just bought a big bottle to refill my small bottles and it smells horrible. Why on earth would they make dish soap smell like overpowering, flowery dollar store cologne? It doesn’t say anything on the front of the bottle about a new sent which means I will be switching brands. And that’s a shame because I’ve never used anything other than Dawn before. Zero stars!

I have been avoiding the Dawn labeled “Clean Scent” because it is absolutely horrible. I just purchased a model of Dawn Ultra that is not labeled with the fragrance name and I swear it smells like the Dawn labeled “Clean Scent.” I don’t know who changes these things, but it is horrible awful and I’m going to have to give it to somebody else that can stand the smell because I cannot stand it. People need to leave things alone that have been working fine. I am definitely changing products.

The new smell is overpowering. Why change a good thing? The whole reason I buy the original scent is because it does not leave a "perfume" smell on my dishes. I will be seeking an alternative unless you go back to the true original.

Dawn has been my favorite for years I’ve been buying it since college and that’s 20 years ago. Why did you change something so good. The scent is terrible now and I feel that you made the soap cheaper. It doesn’t clean as well and I go through a lot more. It seems to me you are trying to profit more.
