I already had an older Oral-B electric toothbrush that I’ve been using for years, but this one feels like a serious upgrade. It’s much quieter and smoother. It doesn’t buzz all over the place, and it feels really sleek and controlled in your hand. The round brush head with micro-vibrating bristles gives a very thorough clean, especially along the gumline. The built-in two-minute timer is really nice. I don’t always use it, but it’s good to know that if I want to get a more complete clean, the timing is already handled for me. It breaks it down into four 30-second sections to help make sure you cover all areas evenly. There are different brushing modes to switch between depending on what your teeth need that day. The pressure sensor is helpful and lights up if you’re brushing too hard. I also like the display on the handle—it shows battery life and reminds you when it’s time to change the brush head. It really feels like a modern update to something you use every day.

It doesn’t make my nose itch which was a problem with previous electric toothbrushes I’ve tried, so I’m happy they solved that! It has a light to let you know when you’re applying too much/to little pressure. My dentist actually recommended a toothbrush with a pressure sensor since she was seeing some gum recession, which is permanent. Overall I really like this toothbrush. I think the vibration after feeling can be somewhat unpleasant at times, so there are times I miss my manual tooth brush a bit. But I know I’m getting a better clean here.
