Bought mine on Prime Day. This is a game changer. My most recent dental checkup, the hygienist said she hardly sees anyone that needed zero scraping, what are you doing..... well this thing is a game changer. I tossed all my other brushes.

It’s supposed to be able to tell which area of your teeth you are brushing. But it’s horribly inaccurate. So every time I brush for two minutes straight, spending 15 seconds on each quadrant, it gives me a red frowny face saying I did a bad job brushing. Very disheartening. I was hoping getting a nice new toothbrush would help with my oral hygiene. But it’s really annoying for it to say I didn’t brush well enough when I watch it thinking I’m brushing a completely different portion of my mouth. Trying to go back over area it thinks i missed takes way longer than 2 minutes & then it gets mad at me for that too.

The AI algorithm has learned from thousands of brushing patterns recognizing the very unique and individual brushing styles. While we tried to capture as many different brushing styles as possible, sometimes it might be difficult for the algorithm to pick up very unique movements or brush-holding patterns. We are continuously updating and training the algorithm and are also launching regular updates for the app to further improve the accuracy. To help improve position detection, we recommend making sure all other Bluetooth devices are disconnected and then brushing the Oral-B way. Start with the outside surfaces of the teeth and move from one tooth to the next, letting the brush sit against each tooth briefly, and then repeat this with the chewing and inside surfaces. I bought this in Feb 2024, replacing an older Oral B toothbrush that was louder and the rubber buttons were coming off, but cleaned very well. This toothbrush is a joke. I can clean my teeth better with my fingernail than with this brush. I've now tried two brush heads, both the original and the gentle (as recommended by my dentist), and both have the same result: noticeable fuzz left at both the gum line and on the side enamel of my teeth. You know that smooth, clean feeling on your teeth? Well, even after brushing for over four minutes at a time, pressing both in the green, or even in red, I will still have fuzz on my teeth. I feel like I'm going crazy because how can brushing for this long leave my teeth unclean, but then I just scratch the fuzz off with my fingernail and *then* I get the smooth, clean tooth feeling. I'm totally shocked and disappointed at how bad this brush is, I wish I hadn't upgraded because really it was a downgrade and a time-waster. I miss the old brush. Last, even if I change the brush settings, it automatically resets to the default brush setting, it doesn't save the brush setting I change it too after putting it back on the charger.

I've had this toothrbush for 4 months, always rinse the head carefully and thoroughly and have already replaced brush heads. Despite this--black mold developed throughout the head of the toothbrush and the body where the head connects. It's disgusting, unsanitary, and a waste of money.

All Oral-B toothbrushes go through many quality checkpoints while being made and therefore we wouldn't expect mold to appear when the brush is used and cleaned correctly, which it sounds like you're doing. Just as a refresher, here are our cleaning tips: > After brushing, thoroughly rinse the brush head with luke-warm water while the toothbrush is switched on to minimize toothpaste residue remaining on the brush between uses. > After rinsing, switch the brush off, remove the brush head from the handle, and clean both parts separately under running water. Wipe both handle and brush head dry (with a soft towel) . Note: especially when you live in a hard water area you are advised to wipe dry instead of leaving to air dry > Leave both the handle and brush head to air dry further before putting the brush head and handle back together. > When you put them back together, ensure the brush head is pushed fully onto the handle so there's no/little gap > If necessary, it's OK to use a mild detergent/cleanser and water to clean the outside of the handle. > Note: Don't put the toothbrush handle or brush heads in boiling water or into a dishwasher. Doing so exposes them to high temperatures which can result in damage to the handle/heads. This can also impair the seal of the handle and allow water in, causing a moldy smell. Hard to clean and uncomfortable

There are three holes in the brush head that collect bacteria and gunk. It’s very difficult to clean with just running water and it can develop a smell. Maybe if you have a pressure washer you could keep it clean. The holes seem to be so that it snaps into place in the case. Also, the brush head and neck is thicker than other toothbrushes, so if you have a smaller mouth it can get messy and be uncomfortable. One charge lasts about 8-10 days. I’ve had other electric toothbrushes that lasted for 30 days.

I bought this in October and right away noticed that the brush head felt extra large in my mouth. Thought I'd get used to it but it's now March and I still don't like it. The smart feature with the app is also super buggy and half the time at the end of a session tells me I hit zero areas which makes no sense.

This toothbrush was impossible to keep clean. I had to remove the head every night and thoroughly clean it because the whole thing would get gross after a couple brushes. The handle was too thick and difficult to wield. Really loud. Ended up getting Colgate Hum and I love it.

The toothbrush is great. I am very disappointed in the app. It worked for a while perfectly, then after the time change it doesn't sync and the days are wrong. I've deleted and reinstalled the app a few times but it still does not connect. This has happened before, then I deleted the app, reinstalled it months later after I go a new phone, it worked for a month, then the time change, now it doesn't work.

Truly do not understand the negative reviews on this electric toothbrush. My husband and I were looking to splurge a little bit on a nice electric toothbrush and both prefer the oscillating round heads. This things is *chefs kiss*. The app is so neat and I love all personalized settings and how you can set goals. I currently have mine set for gum health and love how it shows where you’ve brushed and gauges the pressure to make sure you’re using your brush appropriately. I’m always excited for the next time I get to brush my teeth and they’ve truly never felt cleaner. If you are someone who has sensitive gums or teeth I would suggest using the sensitive + setting as it is definitely a powerful brush! Go easy at first if it’s your first time using it and work your way up slowly to the heavy duty settings. Anyways, go for it and you won’t regret it. Just use it correctly and you should love the brush too!

This is my first Oral-B toothbrush. I have a love-hate relationship with it. I love all the features and what knot, but the design of the brush head shaft is trash. Running the brush underwater like usual isn’t good enough. You have to take the head off and run water all over it because toothpaste gets caught inside the holes. If you don’t take the brush head off and run water inside, toothpaste will run down the body of the toothbrush. It’s annoying.

My original OralB electric toothbrush recently died so I decided to try this version of the new series. Sadly, it does not meet my expectations. First, I'm finding it difficult to hold onto the handle while it's vibrating. There is nothing to give a good grip so it keeps turning in my hand. When I tried to just tightly hold onto it, I kept hitting the buttons. Second, I can't easily move the brush head in my mouth. It's partially because I can't hold the base steady but it also feels like the brush head is too short. In order to get my back teeth the handle is hitting my front teeth. This never occurred with my previous brush. On the positive side, I really like that it has a small footprint. My first one took up a lot of space since it had space for 4 heads even though I was the only person using it.

My spouse gave me this OralB io5 for Christmas. This is the best electric toothbrush i have used. Althugh I have used the tootbrush for a short time, I can tell the difference after each brushing.
