Ruined a great product with this new recipe
I’ve been a loyal Tom's user for years specifically because it didn't have that fake, overpowering artificial taste found in most drugstore brands. Unfortunately, the new peppermint recipe is a huge step backward. It now tastes artificial and chemically—no different than the ordinary toothpastes I spent years trying to avoid. Please go back to the original formula; until then, I’ll be looking for a new brand.

New terrible flavor
This was the only toothpaste I used for the last 10+ years. I like that it had a clean flavor that wasn’t overpowering. They just changed the formula and now it tastes like every other toothpaste, and leaves a terrible aftertaste in your mouth.

Used this toothpaste for years and this new flavor is awful. It's also very watery in the mouth. I will be switching to a new brand.

The perfect toothpaste has changed
Unfortunately, this toothpaste has changed and is no longer the perfect, fresh, and minty toothpaste I’d come to love over the past 30 years. When I first tried it out, I had to do a double take to make sure the toothpaste tube wasn’t counterfeit. The taste is that terrible. Overly sweet, synthetic, and a texture that’s gag-inducing. Tom’s, there are so many of us that love your old formulation. Please, please consider bringing it back. Losing this product that feels so quintessential to your line and brand as a whole is heartbreaking. Thanks for all the years of great toothpaste, and hoping for many more 🙏.

Horrible "New Taste"
Horrible "new taste". The previous formula was the only toothpaste I had found that didn't irritate my mouth and used it for years. I was so disappointed when I purchased what I thought was the same product and it turned out to have been reformulated. It seems as though some apparently unnecessary ingredients were added. Not only does it irritate my tongue with a burning sensation (not pleasant when you are trying to brush your teeth for the recommended 2 minutes) but it does not lather as well as the previous formula and it is very runny/watery when brushing. In addition, my mouth just does not feel clean afterwards- it feels like I didn't even brush my teeth and I realize it is due to the lingering aftertaste which is not "fresh" feeling at all. Incredibly disappointed and I see that I am not alone. For a company and product that people trust and rely on for daily care- and if Tom's really stands by their company values- they should listen to their customers and revisit this product change.

GO BACK TO THE OLD RECIPE PLEASE
This was my absolute favorite go-to toothpaste, I swore by it. It was the ONLY toothpaste I ever bought. I opened a new pack this week, brushed my teeth and it was AWFUL!!!!! Tastes unpleasant and gritty and made my eyes water. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go back to the old formula. I'm so sad, I'll have to find another brand now :(

I have loved this toothpaste and used it exclusively for the past 8 years. I'm so disappointed with the new flavor and unnecessarily added chemicals. Can't recommend it anymore. Change it back!

Bring back old formula!
I found Tom’s about a year ago and immediately fell in love, but I’m so sad you switched to a new taste! As soon as I began brushing my teeth this morning I thought I had bought the wrong toothpaste. The new taste reminds me of crest pro health. I absolutely loved the original peppermint formula so please bring it back!!! Also - the new ingredients added!? Are those safe for you?

I don't know who tested and approved the change of the formula but I hate it. I've been using Tom's for over decade and now I'll have to find a new brand. It tastes artificially sweet for no reason. It doesn't taste like real peppermint. Might as well buy Crest or a more commercial brand. Yuck!

Awful decision to change flavor!!!
I started using Tom’s after graduation. My wife and I started using Tom’s after we got married. Our kids started using Tom’s once they were ready to. It’s over 12 years. We are all upset now. As you already know from here and other merchandise websites, this is a bad decision to change the flavor! It is not too late to change it back before we switch to another brand.

This new formula is terrible!
We have used this product for nearly twenty years and have always been pleased. It occasionally separated a little, but we expected this of a natural product. This new formula has an unpleasant flavor and texture and a terrible aftertaste. Change it back!

REALLY, REALLY dislike the "improved flavor!" VERY disappointed as I have used (and loved) the peppermint flouride free toothpaste for years! It really didn't need to change. Loved it how it was. Now more spearment like in my opinion- and I don't even know how to describe it. But awful to me!
