For the cameras to actually be somewhat useful you need to pay a subscription. They frequently disconnect and it takes 3+ tries to get them working again. They will not show or save videos unless you pay.

Hi Sidney, Yes, our Blink cameras do require a subscription so that if you have a security incident, you can track it via the app. Blink Camera functionality depends largely on your Wifi signal in the space you are in. I’m not surprised half of the good reviews are incentivized on here. First of all you have to purchase a subscription plan if you want it to record anything and it never saves to the cloud like it should. Terrible camera

The basic features are available to everyone for free. You can still enjoy live view, motion alerts, and two-way audio. Terrible camera. I live on a street that gets a good amount of foot traffic and it only captured one or two people every few days. Returned because it was useless.

Hello Joba! Thanks for reaching out and I am sorry to hear about the troubles you were facing with motion detection. Keep in mind that you can adjust sensitivity settings in the Blink app and create activity zones. Each camera has a setting to control how responsive it is to motion. Low Sensitivity means the camera is less responsive to motion, so it takes more motion to trigger an event. High Sensitivity will respond to just about any motion like blowing leaves or rain. Set the sensitivity so that your movement is detected, then use Activity Zones to block out areas of random motion or reflections. The motion detection isn’t great, but it isn’t bad either. The installation was fast and managed to capture what was going on outside my home without me having to rush to the window, every time I hear a commotion (my street isn’t the safest). I’m satisfied with the Blink Mini 2, and I know that so will you. Give it a try. Totally recommend it.

I don't think the video quality is any better than what I already have. Not awful, just was expecting better. The app isn't as easy to navigate either. I had an issue with my wifi and had to reconnect the camera at one point and nearly pulled my hair out reading 3 different websites trying to figure it out. Not impressed. I don't know. I will keep it up but I won't pay beyond my free trial.
