Valvoline Restore & Protect Full Synthetic Motor Oil SAE 5W-30 5 QT

I hadn't used Valvoline for a few years, after some research I have gone back. I am happy with the results there is an oil for every application

I have an Ford F-150 with a little over 300 thousand miles. It was using a quart of oil between oil changes. I started putting restore &protect after three oil changes it now has stopped. So im going to keep on with this oil

I switched from Mobil to Valvoline R&P, and it was the best decision ever. I’ve completed about eight oil changes so far, and I can definitely see an MPG increase. The engine idles more quietly, runs smoother, and feels more powerful. I pair every oil change with a Techron fuel injector treatment, and it’s a great combination.

Love to stop by your service center. 15 minute oil change, stay in car. Alsi get tires filled and all light signals checked. I use Valvoline 0W20VFSB FULLSYNOC as it is written at the Valvoline quick change oil center. I still can't find out what the VFSB means online but the reciept shows as full synthetic on my invoice.

I just changed my oil so I don't see the benefits of the restore and protect just yet but I've soon videos on it and hopefully it actually gets the sludge and stuff out of my engine.

I recently switched to Valvoline Restore & Protect motor oil in my 2023 Toyota 4Runner, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Living in Puerto Rico, we deal with consistently hot and humid weather year-round, so oil performance under heat is extremely important to me. Along with switching brands, I also made the decision to increase the viscosity from 0W-20 to 5W-30, and the difference was immediately noticeable. The engine runs noticeably smoother and quieter, especially during cold starts and long drives. Throttle response feels improved, and I honestly noticed a slight increase in power, particularly during acceleration and highway driving. One of my biggest concerns was fuel economy, but I’m happy to report that my MPG did not decrease at all, even with the higher viscosity. That alone speaks volumes about how well this oil performs. Given our tropical climate, the added protection of a thicker oil combined with Valvoline’s cleaning and protection technology gives me a lot of confidence in long-term engine health. The truck feels happier, more refined, and better protected against heat stress. If you live in a hot, humid environment and want an oil that delivers smooth operation, solid protection, and no downside in fuel economy, I highly recommend giving Valvoline Restore & Protect a try. It’s been a great upgrade for my 4Runner.

This stuff works. Best oil on the market if you want to keep your engine clean. Hope Valvoline makes a European version with A40, MB 229.5 certs. A mid saps 504/507 certified Restore and Protect would also be amazing. Give us 0W-30 and 0W-40 grades Valvoline, please! :)

We use this oil for routine maintenance to keep our engines running smoothly. Does what it’s supposed to do, keeps things slick where they should be, and doesn’t leave us in a sticky situation. Solid protection and consistent results with smooth operation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I done a second oil change on a 2016 RAV 4 that is a high mileage one I been using nothing but Valvoline oil a full synthetic. This is the second time I put in the Restore & Protect . I’m very impressed on how well it works & performs . So far so good no issues whatsoever. I would recommend using a good quality filter . I use a Doct,s filter . I have took notice on how the engine runs! This oil is a excellent choice for especially if you have a high mileage vehicle. This the oil I’m sticking with .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have an older vehicle that is 15 years old and has 151500 miles on it. I use this Valvoline Restore & Protect Full Synthetic Motor Oil 5W-20 5 quart size for my oil change. It is an investment that has kept my car running well. My car also does not burn oil like some. I like to keep this on hand in case I need to add oil in between Valvoline oil changes. I prefer Synthetic over regular oil as it lasts longer between oil changes and the added cost is worth it.

Great Product have been using on my 2018 Ford F-150 5.0 which started using a little oil at 218,000 miles. Switched to this and now have 253,000 and no more oil consumption. Very happy.

Keeping the build up from combustion from sticking to internal engine parts is critical this is the only solution that’s makes since. Even changing the oil more does not solve what this oil can do.good job valvoline I have always liked you life long tech.

I started using RESTORE^&PROTECT awhile back.initiallydrove 2500 miles and replaced the oil filter.drove another 2500 to meet my 5000 .Ile interval.i continued to use the oil till my next oil change.i have to drive up a 5 degree road for about 4 miles.before the P&R, I would have to down shift back to 4th gear to maintain my speed.towards the end of my second interval I could maintain the the same grade in 5th.!I think I had stuck rings,which got loosened up and helped "restore"some compression that helped me .ake it up the grade.i also noticed that the dipstick is as clean as a brand new one?

I started to use at 254000 miles. I am at 268000 now and the difference is astounding. Just looking at the valvetrain, I can see the huge difference. Even on the dipstick.
