It’s very soft and fluffy, but for me, it’s a bit too heavy. I’m hot all the time though, so it may be fine for someone else. I love the color and the style, although, the shaggy fur tickled my nose and I returned it based on reasons mentioned. I didn’t wash it, so I can’t say how it washes.

So soft. Both sides are comfy. Love the texture. I ordered a twin bed size to throw across the foot of my California king size bed. The average throw is too small. Plus the price on the twin bed size was less than most throws I've looked at both online and in stores. I'm very pleased.
