Annie Selke - Dash & Albert Marled Indigo Handwoven Cotton Rug, 8x10, Indigo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The rug is great just what I wanted, a 100% cotton rug. Wish it was a little thicker and the color a bit lighter. It is darker than what is pictured on the website.

I ordered 2 of these to be in my back hall area and the color is exactly how it looks on the website. I am happy with how they look but the 3 stars are due to how thin and light weight they are. I thought they would be a bit heavier.

We order 2 Marled Indigo rugs for our home almost 9 years ago . One for the foyer and one for our living room. They have worn like iron- especially the foyer even through repeated washing. We are moving to a new home and ordered a third to anchor a tv area. Love, love, love!!

Wanted something not too dark, not too light. They look great - highly recommend.

I was concerned that this rug might be a little thin and it might roll at the edges, but the quality seems to be really good. I have a heavy rug pad underneath - I wouldn't suggest using one of those waffle design rubber rug pads. No odor!

We have had the marled indigo color for 6 months now and think it has been a great choice for 3 young kids. We put a thick pad under it on top of tile floors for comfort. The cotton works well for sensitive skin kids who react to wool rugs.

We got the 10x14 rug for our great room. It did have a few wrinkles when we laid it down but they settled within a day. Very soft and looks great. Already have had a lot of compliments.

We have this rug in our toddler sons bedroom and it has been great. It's not exactly cozy, but it is soft enough for playing with toddlers. Earlier reviews mention an odd smell, but we did not notice a smell and I'm fairly sensitive to that kind of thing.

Couldn't be more pleased with this runner for my laundry area - perfect fit; perfect color. Well made and delivered ahead of schedule!

We ordered this rug with some hesitation as we read the reviews on the odor and some other issues. While the rug does have a "new rug" smell, it was not overwhelming at all to us. We ordered a 9x12 for our sleeping nook and it is absolutely fabulous. The colors are sharp yet casual. The rug is thick enough to give bare feet some comfort on hardwood floors, but thin enough to provide that casual "day at the beach" feel that we were looking for. We also have 4 pets, but no problems with claws yet as the weave is pretty tight. And the price is right! From the moment we clicked the place order button, our experience has been 5 starts.

Rug arrived within 2 days of ordering. Rug is well made with bright vibrant colors. Unfortunately color did not work well with my decor, and I had to return it. I highly recommend this rug. FYI Annie Selke issued a credit to my credit card in a very timely manner.

We like the looks of the rug, but also noticed a strong odor. I was hoping it would dissipate over time, but that hasn? happened yet.

I ordered this rug in two sizes. 2x3 for guest bath and a 6x9 for guest bedroom. It goes really well with the Anne Selke Wainscott Indigo Reversible Matelass Coverlet. I love how this room looks. I have ordered various 2x3 rugs and like how I can switch them around in my home.

We were really excited to receive this rug and it looked nice initially - but we have had it less than 3 weeks and it has multiple pulls all over the rug. We have been very gentle with it, have no pets and do not even wear shoes on the rug. Followed all the care/cleaning instructions and there were still pulls! Not only that, there are some random tiny silver threads/strings scattered around the rug - which is weird because its supposed to be 100 percent cotton and those threads certainly don't look to be cotton, they are metallic looking. We have also purchased the herringbone rug from dash albert and were happy with the quality/construction - but this rug has been poor quality and we regret purchasing it!

I am a designer and have used the blue marled rug throughout my new office. It is elegant, soft, and adds just the perfect finishing touch. It can easily move from a transitional to a contemporary esthetic. The previous reviewer had an issue with the smell, but I do not have the same issue at all. I purchased 5 of the same blue marled rug for each room for continuity. Will purchase from this company again. Thank you from a very picky designer!
