Just Exactly Perfect
Yeah, ok, nothing's perfect—but this runner comes close. It's primarily dark brown, but nevertheless brightens up my very bland, shades-of-tan apartment. It's also just the right amount of cushiony for walking, and for standing while playing guitar. (I might need another one in a different size just for that. I have a couple furniture changes to make first). I have wall-to-wall (tan, natch) and the runner is on top of that, so I don't need the rug pad, but if it were on a hard floor, I'd definitely want a pad. (Which is not to say it's too thin—the pile is exactly what I expected, not real deep but dense and tight, just exactly right.) No spills (yet, knock wood) and it's only been a week, so I can't speak to cleaning. Got it on a flash sale, so the price was excellent as well. The corners still curl up a little, but I'm expecting that to go away over time—that's about the only quibble I have, and it's barely worth mentioning. In sum, this is a very excellent runner, precisely what my apartment needed, hence the title of this review.
