The two screw holes (1 on each side nearest to back) that hold the bracket for the lid did not aligned. Had to drill out below the surface to get the nut on the screw. Other two screws ( 1 on each side) where fine.

Finally got it together. It was a little difficult to put together because sone of the parts didn't quite line up. Also would have helped if I had a drill and a few other tools. Haven't tried it in the rain yet. Hope it will keep the cushions dry!

So far we are very pleased with this purchase. This is a solid and sturdy deck box. So far we have seen no water inside from rain storms and we are very pleased. It was a little difficult to assemble the sides to the bottom - getting all the small clips engaged correctly while sliding the side into place was not easy. Not sure the hardware attachments will hold up over time, but thus far we are very pleased.

We bought this box because it was a little longer than average. We can fit a 5’ shovel on the diagonal in there. We love how sturdy and dense it is. It is one that you can sit on top with confidence. I didn’t expect it to take a couple hours to put together, but I also didn’t use any power tools. It wasn’t hard to assemble without power tools, some steps were just time consuming. We’ve had lots of rain and everything has stayed dry. I would recommend this box.

We just assembled the dock box. The instructions were poorly written. The alignment of the panels or screw holes was fair. Some holes in the plastic were missing. Fortunately I had the tools necessary and the skills to assemble this.

Who yes Who has a 11mm socket. What's wrong with a 10mm socket. It was very difficult to get the bolts in to hold the hinge attached. But its still a great bit of kit and I think it will last a log time
