Halo Motion-Sensing Solar Powered LED Gray Area Light

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Okay, this took me way too long to get it installed on the side of my house - mostly because I didn’t have a ladder ta enough, so I had to asking (and waiting) for a neighbor to help me. Finally got it installed today. My neighbor had a hard time mostly because of trying to juggle several items at a time. He installed it roughly 12-13 feed (15 feet is the recommendation to get the widest area covered as possible). From an initial test, it works. I am just waiting for it to charge up with enough sunlight to truly see if it’s worth it. Unfortunately it is screwed into the siding, so even if it doesn’t work I’ll have to leave it there because I don’t want to have exposed holes for critters to get into.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to receive this motion-activated outdoor light to use in my backyard. I have two small dogs and take them outside often at night, and I thought this would be handy for helping me see our way without having to remember a flashlight. I live in Florida, and we occasionally have critters roaming through our yards, so I also thought it would be good to trigger a bright light to warn me if there's a rogue gator or other large animal. Unfortunately this light did not work for me. I can't really rate it effectively because I couldn't get it to work at all, but I don't think it's the fault of the device. While I live in Florida and get tons of sunlight daily, apparently where I mounted the light doesn't allow it to get adequate direct sunlight to power it. I thought for sure it was going to work fine, because in the exact same area I have several solar-powered lanterns that work great even on cloudy days. I installed the light on the north-facing back of my home as close to the roofline as I could, but it is under a small overhang which apparently blocks adequate sunlight. My dad installed it for me easily with a power drill and it came with everything I needed to install it. After several days of not being able to get it to work, my electrician neighbor checked it out and confirmed it really needs to be in very direct sun. Even though the solar lanterns I have work great, they are not as intense or powerful as this outdoor light so this light needs a lot more power. Unfortunately there is literally nowhere on my house where I can hang this that will give it full exposure to the sun, so this device doesn't work for me. I'm thinking you would need to mount it on a pole or roof (I can't put it on my tile roof) in order to allow it to work correctly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This outdoor light provides very good light with its solar powered /motion activated lights. It comes with the bulb and is very easy to install outside. This light provides a very bright light and is an excellent outdoor light.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We live on a cul de sac with several houses offset from the street and delivery people often have a hard time finding ours in the dark, even after we put big house numbers outside our garage. This is the perfect light for illuminating them in the dark! Not needing to wire the light was an extra benefit, since we would have had to hire an electrician to install it otherwise!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was pretty easy to install, and much brighter than I thought it would be. It did take quite a while to charge the first time, but after that it charged well enough during the day. We will see what happens now that the days are getting shorter.

We have a pool in the backyard but not enough lighting so I was excited to put this out there. It provides a ton of light, so much so that I want to purchase another one. The only downside is it is really ugly. I can live it with it though because of the amount of light that it provides

It has features that allow it to be either motion-activated only or to just stay on at nighttime. It’s a very powerful light which makes it great for safety and lighting and it was easy to install on the side of our house. Looking forward to seeing how it holds up to the outdoor elements. Overall, I definitely recommend this product!

I was really looking so.forward to this product. It was packaged very well and the instructions were fairly simple. I left my solar base to charge for 3 days to make sure it was fully charged.and installed their batteries in the remote. It would not work what so ever. Thinking it was just a fluke I went.out and bout new batteries to.put in it. And it still wouldnt work. I was really disappointed because I really could have used this product and I feel I couldnt give it an accurate review of a working item.
