Speed Stick Deodorant for Men Ocean Surf Scent, Long-Lasting Daily Odor Protection, Solid Stick, 3 Oz

I'm 67, and have been using this for more than 50 years. Recent changes have made the product almost useless. I now notice body odor after just a couple hours after applying. Today I went out and purchased another product and won't be back to Speed Stick unless I hear the old product is back on the shelves.

This one isn’t too bad but the scent is a lot stronger than the other scents which is ok but man do I miss the Musk scent. I’ve been trying to find a replacement for about 3 years now and just haven’t been able to find one. I will be seeking other brands until Musk scent returns. This scent lasts all day but I don’t like it as much as the Musk scent. My dad also misses the Musk scent too. Why discontinue something when it worked so well? Back in the day probably 2009 and before there was also another scent called Fresh but it was a different Fresh than the current one and it smelled amazing too I’d use that if they were sold out of the Musk. Bring that one back too it was an anti perspirant with a light green lid.

I bought this as a potential replacement for Speed Stick Musk that I have been using for (I can't even believe it) 38 years! I'm 49 now and it was the first deodorant I picked out when I was in 5th grade in 1987. I loved the smell. It lasted for 2 days. I'd never even considered another brand...been a Musk man my entire life. Not a fan of the Ocean Surf fragrance, and by the end of the day I don't like the way my pits smell. The Musk had a magical way of mingling with my natural man-musk that I always liked. Please, bring back the Musk. I miss the Musk. What makes a Muskrat guard his Musk? Courgage!

I've been using this deodorant in this scent for years and I love it! Great smell and feel and it doesn't make me sweat MORE. Great value for money and doesn't stain clothes or give me a rash like Old Spice. Also love that it is coincidentally aluminum free! A+

The cap is too difficult to remove, as the tapered shape provides little grip, making it challenging to open with both wet and dry hands.

Ocean Surf isn't that close to the Musk fragrance that was ill-conceived in having been discontinued. Since your Ocean Surf reviews are not that good, why don't you try this approach: use the original Musk formula and call it Ocean Surf. Based on the outcry to bring back Musk, you're bound to improve your reviews on it. Or call it something else. And Test that in the market. And leak out on the internet that people believe it's really Musk by a different name. The boldness of such a move is bound to attract attract interest and I think you'll find a lot of happy customers using it again.

I bought Speed Stick Ocean Surf because it's value priced, significantly cheaper than competitors Old Spice and Degree. Ocean Surf has a pleasant scent, but the (non-aluminum) deodorant protection doesn't last long enough. Even though I applied Ocean Surf liberally to my clean armpits, I began to stink with sour BO in as little as 6 hours. With Old Spice and Degree, the (non-aluminum) deodorant protection typically lasts well beyond 12 hours.

Note about the scent - It's like clean soap (I like it. Those who don't like it seem to have been looking for a replacement for Musk - and this is not at all a Musk scent). The clear stick goes on easier than any other deodorant -- it's not at all sticky, and there is no white residue. It's not an anti-perspirant, but this is the only deodorant that keeps me dry enough when doing office work. Other deodorants seem to irritate or make me sweat more.

I had been using the Musk-scented Speed Stick for many years. It amazes me that companies discontinue products that customers love. I'm currently using the Ocean Surf, and it's just ok. Once I find a comparable deodorant to the Speed Stick Musk, I'll stop buying Speed Stick and switch to another brand, until Colgate-Palmolive pulls its head out of the sand and brings back musk.

After running out of my supply of the Musk and couldn't find any more I bought the Ocean Surf. The fumes give me a headache. I can't stand to wear it. Please bring back the Musk.

I bought 2 Ocean surf as usual for 35 years, the new scent change is atrocious, it was a good run. I will have to settle for Regular.

It has been my favorite for a very long time. I'm stuck with buying online because stores have stopped carrying it. I can see why now that I see the number of stars on the website. Ocean Surf has a gentle smell that doesn't overwhelm the senses, but it works a long time to prevent BO from being a problem.

I don't understand all these people complaining. Saw one guy saying they changed it to aluminum free? It always has been as far back as I can remember. That's why I originally bought it. I love the scent and I've been using it for years and had no complaints. Don't like it just don't buy it. Works great for me.

I have used Ocean Surf for about a year now or since I haven't been able to find Musk anymore. Musk was discontinued and so because Ocean Surf is one of the "clear" types like Musk I chose it. I like the product however I used Musk for many years and preferred the scent and protection better. Why was Musk discontinued? I've read several of the reviews where customers preferred Musk and were disappointed that it had been discontinued. Also, I strongly agree with the review about the product waste when one nears the end of the stick. I calculated that approx 14-15% of the 3 ounces is unusable so the consumer can't use the entire product they are paying for.

Used this as the company recommended it as a replacement for the discontinued Musk scent. What an awful, awful mistake! I get the feeling their "product specialists" suffer from Hyposmia because this stuff is really bad. Speaking of company employees, their management must have their heads in the clouds as they can't hear (or don't listen to) their customers! LOUD AND CLEAR, BRING BACK MUSK! Actually, they probably can't read either.. it's a losing battle.

After they discontinued Musk, I ranted against Speed Stick as I had used it for 40 years. I switched to Axe but after a few months of that deodorant only working a half day I switched back to Speed Stick with the Ocean scent. Speed Stick is the best deodorant out there and the Ocean scent is subtle.

I tried this OCEAN SURF but it does not last very long at all. 8 - 10 hours on a hot day and it starts giving out. Forget about 24 hours. And the scent is quite strong, but manageable (barely). I also tried the REGULAR Scent but the FUMES from that gassed me out and gave me an instant migraine... That went straight in the trash, right after I took another shower. I thought maybe I'd try that WOODS scent, but I just read the reviews on that, and they are horrible too. I have been using MUSK for as long as I can remember. (might have been called Spice at one time?). It has very light / pleasant (almost no) scent, always worked great, goes on easy, and lasted longer than I ever needed it to. Colgate-Palmolive - PLEASE BRING BACK MUSK ! ! ! I see a lot of people agree.

Used Speed Stick MUSK deodorant for many years, now can't get it! tried Ocean Surf... don't much care for the smell, but it is better than the smell of Original, Fresh Woods, or Fresh, all of which I tried and threw these out. None of the products work or smell as good as "MUSK" Colgate-Palmolive now makes no usable deodorant product!

I have used this deodorant since I was in middle school. I'm 34 years old now. This is the only deodorant that I like.
